Wrong. It's the opposite, in fact. State has yet to lose any player we couldn't replace.
That’s because MSU has been complete dogshit since the start of the NIL era. Just because you’ve yet to lose anyone doesn’t mean that you had anyone worth losing.
This guy could be different. If he’s really a special talent, te absolutely throw $10-$15 million down to bring him in. You cannot afford that for a quarterback.

I hope you guys keep him. Sure feels like he’s the next year QB of either LSU/Texas/Miami

We can easily get close to that range. We don't even have to be the highest bid, that's already been proved this past offseason. People should really learn about cost-benefit analysis. If it was truly just about money, he would've taken the more money, balled out, and done it again. That's clearly not this kid's character.

Inversely, just because we haven't paid out a shite ton of money on a roster doesn't mean we can't. Our MO has never been to go and buy a roster with players from around the country. You need to understand how our boosters operate. I can guarantee you that when a player like Kamario comes around, money will not be the reason he leaves. We have been and will always be a program that strikes while the iron is hot and push our chips in when the real potential is there. That's the only way to survive in this new era for a program like us. Not blindly throwing 50-70 million on a new roster every year and hope it works out.

The bow tie brigade is cashing out 401ks to give to NIL, so that there’s not a perceived drop off post-Kiffin.

So Lane can't recruit?

MSU is not magically immune to the side effects of the NIL era.
Maybe you can fork out $10-$15 million to keep him. But you won’t have enough money left over to have a solid roster around him.

Everyday Colonel blackbearshark of Pickwick Bluff Plantation Overlook is melting at the fact the down to earth farm/engineering/aerospace/business school has better athletes & coaching again..

State has yet to prove they can retain anyone of note. His injury in the bowl game was the best thing could happen for State otherwise he’d be wearing a different uniform this fall.
Not sure specifically who "anyone" is, but Kamario knew he would be the guy once Shapen left. Van Buren didn't want to sit under Shapen for another year when he could get his now.
A lot of the other movement is typical of today's new paradigm with NIL.
Kamario is Lebby's guy. They'll do what it takes to keep him.

Melt? Our Qb is better than yours.

Really?
How many ranked opponents has he beaten? Zero
How many conference games has he won? Zero
How many playoff games has he won? Zero
What is his winning % as a starter? 67%
How is he against our QB head to head? 0-1
Now want to do Chambliss?

We will. Can we afford to do it every year for the next 10 years? No. Can we push our chips in around a generational player? Yes and we will. We built a 30 million dollar roster after winning 7 games over 2 years. You're kidding yourself if you think that number isn't going to rise with some success and a player like Kamario to build around.
No sense in arguing. I'll let time do that for me. You'll get a front row seat to it.

I doubt it. You'll be checked out and spending your saturdays shopping for croakies by mid October.

His brain resides in Baton Rouge now. You know this, right?

Got the balls to place a ban bet that he won’t be suited up in maroon and white next year fella?
I don’t think it’s this off-season you have to worry about. I think it’s when he’s going to be a season, junior and some top-tier school who has every component, but a solid quarterback comes calling. If he is the missing piece between a team missing out on the playoffs and possibly being in a national champion, it’s worth the several million dollars they throw
No, it will be this off-season, not next

Do yall think he’s playing for free this year? Or that nobody knew about him until now?
Anybody that watched the Egg Bowl last year could see that this kid had an unreal raw skillset. I can’t imagine there weren’t suitors last year too.
Of course people were coming after him. How much nil did he get from state? I'm guessing 2 mil.
