This entire discourse is ruining the sport, and unlike it being caused by the powers at be like most problems in college football, it's caused by the fans as a byproduct.

What makes you think the surrounding cast in Miami won’t go somewhere else for more money next year? It works both ways, if Taylor keeps trending this direction in this offensive scheme there could be a lot of guys interested in catching passes from him to improve their draft stock.

The guy is savvy. Team Taylor has had a plan for the past 2-3 years. It’s been easy to stick to the plan because he really is a State fan. So am I.
If I were to get the offer that they think KT can get, I would cash in too

All you need is a local judge who scored a 17 on the ACT and in your local college town that knows his entire career rides on pleasing the township, and a fanbase that'll do anything to hold onto relevancy.
You can make up a sickness you had 4 years ago that you never bothered to file until a pile of $5 million was placed in front of you. It really is that easy. You can literally make up anything. As long as you went to a doctor or dentist one single time in your 4 to 5 years playing career, you can twist that visit into being anything that a local judge will sign off on.
TrinisonofLSU is not gonna have a good time verse a 1st team defense that's averaging 47 total yards per game allowed and either 0 or 1.5 points depending if you count the field goal that came off Leavitt INT that was within LSU's 30 yardline and LSU actually pushed the offense back 2 yards for a 4th and 12 FG.

You act like there is some horrifying record of losing top tier talent in Starkville. There isn’t. We’ve mostly had bad teams and lost middling players at best for the most part in the NIL era, which admittedly we were behind in, but that’s Auburn’s problem now. Will we or won’t we, idk, but elite talent hasn’t been fleeing from Starkville and we have ponied up in other sports when it made sense (Hubbard, several on the diamond). We held on to Kelly Jones fairly easily and he lead the nation in completion percent against last year and widely considered a first rounder at 6’4” 205 and runs like a freaking deer. As close to a shut-down corner as you get in this league. I know that doesn’t fit your narrative, but thems are facts.

A lot of people came after Kelly Jones this offseason but we locked him up with 1 free catfish plate per week at lil dooeys and a VIP booth at the pony

The one exception I would make is I would love to have Brice Pollock still (now at Texas Tech, but was there last year too).
The two biggest names they’ve lost under Lebby were Kevin Coleman and Mario Craver and he replaced them with Brenen Thompson and Anthony Evans…. I would say State was definitely no worse for the wear on that swap.
