Just who do the Longhorns despise the worst, Texas A&M or Oklahoma?

Inquiring minds want to know.
No doubt which program A&M hates the most between Texas and LSU. It's Texas.
But, I'm curious as to whom the Longhorns hate the most: A&M or OU? I'm guessing A&M 'cause of the intra-state athletic incestuousness of the rivalry, but I could be wrong. Right?

Maybe, but it sure wasn’t that way when I was at Texas in the early 90s. They could beat OU, but were in the middle of losing 10/11 to A&M.
OU weekend was a big event, but they really hated losing to A&M at that time.

I've sorta always felt it was something like this. If they had a choice as to which team they'd rather lose to, I sense they would choose OU.
USC's rivalry with UCLA and Notre Dame is similar, but it's very, very clear to all the Trojan Nation as to which one they hate the most: NOTRE DAME. UCLA's only 10 miles from the USC campus, but it's the Fighting Irish who are the #1 most hated rival on SC's schedule each year.

This is the correct framing. They pay lip service to hating OU, but are buddy-buddy with them more often than not. It's kinda funny how they try to downplay their disdain for A&M, but actions speak way louder than words. At least we don't hide our dislike for those pendejos.

I can assure you they hate us with extreme prejudice that can black out the sun.
HINT: The missing ingredient you're looking for is that in spite of the mutual hate, there is an annoying underlying mutual respect on both sides in our rivalry that is not present in yours.

The truth is whoever is better at the time. Before the 80s it was certainly OU and not close. Then A&M got better and OU declined in the 90s so it was more even on the rivalry scale.
It’s most definitely OU nowadays but that may shift in the coming years when the a&m game is back on.
It’s also mattered that Texas - OU has been early in the year, when both teams are likely to be highly ranked, so it’s just meant more.
