Someone got in his ear telling him how much he was worth. He was worth more to Ole Miss than anyone else. Now he (and his decision making team) are getting real offers less than what Ole Miss was offering. And from less attractive schools.
The players love the idea of a portal. But a huge number of those entering the portal from P5 schools have played their last down of P5 football.

Looking like Judkins contacted the staff trying to come back and Lane said to piss off. Which is why he’s in Columbus right now. If he goes there he won’t be the sole premier back especially if Treyveon Henderson comes back. And he will likely make less money than he did at Ole Miss. He fricked around and found out.

I hope it works out for Judkins somewhere. It’s currently looking like he got bad advice from people who didn’t know what they were talking about and it’s going to cost him 100s of thousands of dollars. I hope that’s not the case in the end.

Would I take Judkins back? Yes, if he changed the stuff that worked against team chemistry. He's a fantastic back.
My hunch is that he had a bunch of people in his ear telling him he could get a lot more, went out to market, and found out that wasn't really true. I think Ole Miss was willing to pay a considerable amount, and that he probably found out that there weren't offers out there that were light years beyond what was already on the table.
