Judkins and camp reached out this evening to see if OM’s offer is still on the table. No response has been given to Judkins or his camp. Will be interesting to see if Lane stands firm or we bring him back with a one strike policy.

I didn’t say I wanted him back. Just stating that he reached out to see if he could return. If you notice in my post, we haven’t responded.

No one wants a guy who throws off the locker room, but I’m all for keeping a player who has 3000+ yards and 30+ touchdowns in two seasons. He was more of a volume guy this year, but he’s still a two-year starter

Ole Miss has emptied their piggy bank for any former 4 or 5 star that would flash them a smile.

Never said we could. Kids can overestimate their worth. Once the money was settled we started getting demands from his Mother. By the way we have a bunch of players leaving who entered the portal. It is the game played now for money. I don’t like it and none of us do. 98% of these kids will rely on their education for a living. But most have been taught otherwise. Little to no intelligent parenting. Which sadly means they will be working at your local Circle K in a decade. Just watch and see.

I really hate what CFB has become
I totally understand if Ole Miss takes him back, but deep down I wish y’all would tell him to kick rocks.
These players think they’re the reason we watch CFB and the game makes money, because people have put that in their head. Every star college player in America could magically disappear next year and CFB revenue would be exactly the same as it is today. It’s not the players that make CFB and bring in the money, it’s the schools and the fans. That’s what a lot of stupid people don’t understand about CFB. We’re gonna watch and attend games regardless of the names on the back of jerseys.

the way I understand his departure was "mutual". but not because Judkins wasn't effective. he has been all SEC both years. but supposedly he has behavioral issues and kept telling Lane how to run the offense.

I think he and his people just realized that's no longer a position you prioritize.
All things being equal, you want 2-3 guys who can get you 3-4 yds off tackle, who can pass-block, and are able to make basic catches in the flats or on screens. 1-2 of which can run pass routes downfield. You don't go with the 25 carries a game bell cow anymore, that takes away from the passing game. Those guys also burn down pretty quickly, so the NFL doesn't seek them out anymore.
