Wasn't this board basically unanimously proclaiming not 3 days ago that Josh Pate has the best takes of all the talking heads regarding college football?

The #4 QB on that list was 10th in passer rating and 12th in YPA among SEC QBs last year.
I freely admit I could be proven wrong, but if your top 4 include two QBs with barely a resume to speak of, what's that say about the rest of the list?

He’s being mocked top 5 by a lot of people.
I can find you all the posts you want from this board and elsewhere where LSU fans are talking about him as a top of the draft guy.
The substance of my post was that his onfield play last year wasn’t at a top 5 NFL draft level, which I then went into some great detail explaining how he has that upside and that his year two growth might get him there.
And again, the entire thread which was posted by and LSU fan was calling not having him preseason #1 in the SEC “rage bait”.
So relax and stop looking for a troll where there isn’t one.

He was a true freshman whose best days are likely ahead of him. I doubt he will be #1 at the end of next season but I wouldn't just be shocked.

Yeah but this is preseason and there’s no world in which he’s legitimately the best quarterback going into this season.
