A lot of times injuries like this can kill a career especially a kid that hasn’t been through hard times. I think joe will be ok, frick the bengals incompetent line.

Similar to Anfernee Jennings? I wonder if Joe had to have emergency surgery like Anfernee did?

You weren't an NFL QB. Even a slight decrease in mobility could kill his game. Hate it for him.

Not really these days, see my post at the bottom of page 1. Just depends on how badly you want to play again.

Every single year our favorite players get wrecked. It's almost like the more you hope it doesn't happen, the more likely it is to happen. Every year these budding legends get wrecked. Marcus Lattimore, Tua, Joe,...

Goddamn, that's awful. I don't know if his mobility will ever be the same again.

Of all positions in the NFL, pure pocket passing QB is least likely for this to be a career killer. He'll be fine.

Have you watched JB play? His ability to move around the pocket and avoid pressure his is talent.

I imagine the mental part will be more difficult than the physical part of recovery. Having people diving and falling all around your legs will frick your mind up.

It's not just mobility. A serious leg injury can screw up a QB's mechanics. Case in point, Carson Palmer had a devastating knee injury against the Steelers in the playoff game in 2005. When he came back, he often wasn’t planting his leg on his throws which led to more stress on his shoulder and elbow. Eventually, he suffered a serious elbow injury and was never the same player after that.

Ouch. That's tough to come back from. I think that's the same thing Chubb had.

Hope he is able to come back strong. Tough break for him.

That sucks badly.

On the bright side, he has a lot of guaranteed money and is set for life if he isn't able to recover. But these days it seems like that's something he can still recover from.

I said it before, I wish medical science can get to the point that ACL injuries are very speedy recoveries

I always cringe when I see someone get tackled low like that, at the knee. I've torn my ACL/MCL before so I have ptsd. I really have no doubt though that Joe Burrow will come back and be back to normal. You can bet he will work his arse off in rehab, and that it the most important thing with recovery.

frick. Hope he comes back at 100%. Somebody needs to get him the hell away from that team before they let him get hurt even worse.
