Well then he’s clearly a damn Good cheerleader and recruiter. Can we agree that he is the best cheerleader/recruiter in the country?

And considering recruiting is 75%+ of winning at the college level, well.......you do the math.

He's not, he's literally coached in a prominent position for less than a year. He was just an offensive assistant for the Saints, more analyst type role, he's 30 years old with basically less than 1 year of real experience coaching/calling plays. He was a GA at PSU before the Saints. People are being really dumb thinking a school like FSU would come roaring in to hand over a $4M-$5M/yr contract with big buyout to a guy with practically no experience.

What on earth makes you think a school will hand over the keys to their program to a guy like that?

No one else is paying that much for a coordinator.

With a deal like that, no way he'd leave for 5 million per year head coaching job!

I am honestly not that surprised, but I imagine it will include a title like "Co-OC" and possibly a "first in line" clause at the Offensive Coordinator job. Once Emsinger leaves, Brady will likely be OC but having that in writing would help mitigate anyone complaining about that kind of salary for a specialist.

What will be very interesting is if he continues the success with multiple QBs. That will cement him 100% as an offensive guru.

Well, it sounds like y'all have it all figured out. I don't see how anything can go wrong.

Coach O is HC. Lets look at it from a CEO of a Fortune 500 Company whose background is Finance or Engineering. The Company needs to hire someone to lead Research and Development, which is not the CEO's skill set, what does a good CEO of fortune 500 Company do, hire the best guy. The Company needs someone to run Advertising, so what do you do, you find the best person to Lead Advertising.

Every decision that has been made at LSU, going to get Joe B, updating the Offense by bringing in Joe Brady, which Coach E was on board with. Coach Brady came up to LSU's coaching clinic and did a presentation on the passing game. Coach E and Coach Saw it and said, lets hire this guy.

Coach O is better Coach than what people give him credit.

I honestly think O feeds off people doubting him.

I ain’t gonna lie, I doubted him and the hire. Boy has he proven me wrong.

As an LSU fan, I hope people keep doubting and underestimating him. Because IMO that’s when he’s at his best!

This really does remind me of the situation at A&M when we lucked out with the hiring of a very young Kliff Kingsbury. It's great, but you only have him for two years or so, and then he gets the head job.

It's nice when the guy who really makes your team go is the guy who already has a head coaching job.

So...are y’all giving Esminger the boot and putting Brady as OC? I think you would have too because Brady will get HC offers.

He’s not seasoned enough for HC. Yet.

But I thought we were poor? You mean to tell me that was just our tax and spend governor leveraging for more taxes?

Yes, and he can hold out for a HC job at a top program, because he and O are pulling in talent like never before. After he fields the best offense in the SEC for a few years as the LSU OCC, he will get huge offers for HC positions.
