As an Alabama fan, I’m happy about that too. I hope he’s successful in the NFL but I’m glad he’s gone.

He is talented and damn glad we dont have to watch him run all over us. But can he pass under pressure is the big question. He did not prove that in college. I wish him luck he seems like a fine young man

Barn would kill to have DeBoer as their coach right now.

The only reason they haven't fired the Freeze yet is because nobody with any sense would want the job.
The only thing that can make barn semi-respectable is to concentrate on basketball and completely give up on football. It appears as though this strategy is already in place if you look at the state of their program. Time to just accept it.

No. We havent fired him because it would be stupid to fire him after only two seasons since he is upholding the other end of his requirements which is to replenish talent.

But Harsin??? Herp Derp

I wish him well. I don’t know if I have ever been happier to see someone leave Alabama. He has all the physical talent necessary. Jalen just can’t read defenses and can’t put any touch on the ball. If he can be brought along at the pace of say a Steve McNair, and he becomes receptive to coaching, he could have a somewhat successful career as an NFL back up QB.

The disappointment on the 'Bama board when he announced he was going to play in the bowl game should tell you everything you need to know about this guy. Great kid who loved Alabama and was fun to watch when it was clicking for him, but that was so rare to see outside of an LSU game. And his low points were as bad as it gets at any level.

This. Milroe couldn't handle a zone read, something that most high school or college QB's can do. It was a guessing game that usually ended with him or the RB's running into a wall of defenders.

So, for anyone to think he'll turn the corner and suddenly be able to process NFL defenses is pretty ridiculous.

FIFY. He didn't do much quarterbacking against us.

1. Take snap

2. Run to the edge

3. Run 50+ yards to the end zone

I was surprised he played, seems like they would've wanted to get Simpson some in game reps.

I wish him the best and I hope he does “find it” and winds up in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

I am very glad he is no longer our quarterback.

There are line cooks high on coke with better under pressure, decision making skills than Milroe.

A lot of you people claimed the Alabama team was decimated with the transfers when Saban retired, then later claimed Alabama was the most talented team in the nation.

Now some of you are claiming Milroe was actually a good qb, though you claim Simpson must not be good because Milroe was the starting qb

Irony is ironical.

Him and Hurts are two of the few Bama kids I respected. I guess it’s because that fanbase trashed both of them, and they responded pretty well.
if he had been the lsu QB and played like he did against Vanderbilt, Oklahoma, and Michigan he would have to be under protective custody

The thing is is that there were plenty of games in 2023 and the first half of 2024 where he was really good under pressure. He made big plays that clinched games against UGA, TAMU, AU. I would go so far as to say that one of his strong points was keeping calm under pressure. And he wasn't a turnover machine in '23 and the first half of '24 for the most part.

But something changed sometime after the UGA game last year, and it came to a head against Tennessee. He looked great against LSU, but then Oklahoma happened. My theory is that DeBoer gave him too much freedom in the offense, and when things started to go south, Milroe had a bad collapse of confidence.

He hasn't seen a real NFL defense yet, it's still early.

Alabama lost a lot of talent in the portal but still had the best roster in the country.

I've explained this to you multiple times yet you're still confused.

Milroe was decent, just inconsistent.

I don't think anyone has seen enough of Simpson to truly have an opinion on how good he is.
