He’s said it several times since he’s been at Bama. And he’s still here.

Your father's a smart man. Life has taught me that enjoying your profession is, by far, the most important aspect of one's work life...more than money, power, notoriety or anything else. Also, if a person truly enjoys what they do, then they're probably very good at it, and folks who are the best in their field, nearly always make an outstanding living....that's how life usually pans out.

I understand where you (and others) are coming from. I do. However, I do believe coaching college ball is a little different than most jobs, though. The hours are much longer, the scrutiny much more substantial, and you have almost no privacy. You also have to spend a good bit of your time trying to convince egotistical 18 year old kids to come to your school and then deal with the personal frick ups of 100+ 18-22 year olds.

Dealing with all that (with little time for anything else) in the golden years of my one and only life when I could literally do anything else I wanted at any time?

No thanks.

But if that’s what the man wants to do, then more power to him. The CFB world is more interesting with Saban in it, so I’m glad he persists.

That was a “stfu and stop asking me that question, I’m tired of it” reply if you ask me. Savanna could retire at the end of this season and I wouldn’t be shocked. He’s just tired of being asked.

Shama has more skeletons than the Vatican

We’re in the days of truth and whistleblowers
(anyone seen Luther Davis?)

Should the truth leak about their $ucce$$, Knick’s timeline will shrink faster than their chances against Clemson.

We would have parody. Lol, wow what a weird concept.

We would have once again have parity in football, instead of this parody of football that currently exists.

You're trying too hard to be cute, VT. Just simply say what all your coonass brethren have always wailed about...."Alabama cheats!"

Alabama sheets and pointy hats; how can you get a black man to look past all that?

Dodge Chargers and six figure signing bonuses pale in comparison to missing persons presumed dead (has anyone seen Luther Davis?) or to whistleblowers who fall to their death up the stairs

Nazi's from Project Paperclip relocated to Huntsville area after end of WWII; literally explains a lot about the Roll Tawds

If Saban is enjoying this gig and it doesn't adversely affect his health then he should keep going.

Many older folks I know didn't last long after retirement.

Not going to lie. That is a depressing thought.

He's set the bar very high, especially for the middle/upper tier teams in the SEC. Most of our SEC teams' fans don't really expect to win championships, but want to be competitive, while the five or six others take the seemingly never ending arse kickings from their fans and adminstration. Those are the guys who feel the heat!

Nevermind that kNick's remaining years at Shama require the status quo doesn't change and he doesn't have to answer tough questions.

Like "what do you know about the disappearance of Luther Davis?"

Good luck with that when the whole country wants to see it change and the 44-16 indicates it already is...

Who cares! Saban and Alabama will be old news if they aren't already

You may want to ask Doc to increase that lithium dosage.

I have always hoped he'd stick around long enough for the Bama fan base to turn on him.

This isn't LSU, where literally EVERY coach gets turned on by the fanbase.

Right because Alabama fans just kill each other, teabag other fans, threaten kickers, kill trees
