We have Belk, signed with Clemson last December, attended spring game, released from Clemson to USC and is currently waiting on his NCAA approval to play immediately.
Not relevant in this case. Kaho never enrolled at UW. He only had to be released from his NLI. He does not need any kind of waiver, as he was never a UW student.

I think he originally wanted to go to BYU, but ended up at UW. Bama was originally thought to be his first choice, but didn't work out. Looks like Saban convinced him we were the right school. Hard to knit what is on the mind of a 17 year old teenager.

Saban isn't even trying to hide it anymore.

I'm pretty sure you are wrong about benefits from UW.
Who paid his living expenses the past 2 months? His parents?
Was he in student housing?
Was he on the athletes meal plan?
I promise you that his parents weren't footing these bills.

I just dont see how the NCAA can just continue to look the other way on the crap that Bama is pulling. Once Saban is gone.............Bama is going to collapse..............after the NCAA finally comes down on them.
Saban has totally broken you corndogs. Remember back you when thought Les was going to run Saban out of the SEC

Interdasting:

Kaho signed with the Huskies during the early signing period last November, choosing UW over Alabama and a number of other high-profile programs. A source close to Kaho’s recruitment said it was Kaho who felt strongly he belonged at UW, but family members had long tried to sell him on Alabama.
quote:
At Alabama, he will play for Crimson Tide defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi, the former UW defensive-line coach who left Seattle in December 2013 while he was under NCAA investigation for allegedly paying $4,500 in cash for a recruit’s tutoring services. Washington paid Lupoi $300,000 as a part of a “mutual separation” agreement.

Kid seems like one of those kids that’s never happy and I’d bet he never plays a down for Bama and transfers to Eastern Washington in a year, then to some D3 school, then will be at Wendy’s in 4 years.

Really glad everyone decided to make transfers easier and shame people who attempt to keep kids on teams where they don't want to be.
Thanks guys! Just glad to be able to help this kid go where his heart desired!
Yeah - when it was Smith or Kennedy it was mean ol' Saban preventing a kid from realizing his dream. Well that shite cuts both ways and if that is college football's new paradigm, then no one can play that game better than Saban and Bama.

It’s weird no matter how you put it.

I said all along these stupid people would regret the transfer rule. The rich will only get richer. In 3 years, Bama won't even resemble a college team. Saban will process weaker players and pick up all Americans off the waiver wire that can play for championships immediately.
I love the rule personally for selfish reasons but parity is about to vanish completely. People said Saban shouldn't stop any player that wants to transfer. Well, neither should any other coach. This works both ways and Saban will take advantage like no other. People seem to forget, when you open up a door, that door applies to Bama as well. In order to try to catch Bama, college football is digging its own grave.

Yeah we know. I just hope the NCAA doesn't crush a lesser program like Ole Miss again for yalls transgressions.

Y'all just couldn't let LSU have the biggest offseason acquisition could yall
Well we had a few players get dismissed/focus on other sports/xfer/etc, so we had some cap space to spend on a 5*.
