You're fricking higher than giraffe pussy if you think Monte Lee or Paul Mainieri is the best a program with South Carolina's program and facilities could do with a competent AD.
It would be easier to give a you a list of those who wouldn't come. Although the damage may have been done with the Kingston hire. We're the washed program, hiring a washed coach.

This move is so South Carolina it hurts.
Make the fanbase think you’re about to promote a guy that failed at your arch rival and -BAM!- hire a dude in his late 60’s that gets migraines and hates recruiting instead.
It’s a move so preposterous even Ray Tanner is confused by it.

Probably not and I'm gonna go ahead and say hiring a retiring baseball coach (as AD) hasn't been great the past few decades.

I'm not sure why USC doesn't make him coach baseball if he wants to work for the university. Paying him to be a mediocre AD instead of an elite coach is ridiculous.

It's beyond comprehension - heads are shaking within the booster community, and elsewhere, over all of this.
