Although outside of Bear and Saban, only one guy has done so since the early 1940s.
One of those four is Frank Thomas who coached through the 1946 season and went 10-0 with a Rose Bowl win in 1945 (Bama's last appearance in that game until this season).
I also don't understand the "outside of Bear and Saban" part. Saban, Stallings, or Bryant has been the coach at Bama for all but 17 of the last 63 years. You can't just cherry-pick those small batches of seasons because there's a pattern that holds if you go back to the start of the SEC. Alabama's had brief stretches of mediocrity (except Ears, he was Aggie Chad bad), but those have been brief and followed by long runs of championship level performance.
Call it luck. Call it conveniently located Dodge dealerships. Explain it ever how you want, but you can't deny almost a century of results and very few coaches worth having won't jump at the chance to drive that train.

It isn't "small batches."
Its four decades with one title.

Let’s be serious... there is no more spoiled fan base than Bama. Once Saban retires and the law of averages takes over again their fan base will implode. Firing every coach that doesn’t win a Natty in the first year being coach.
Is pussy desirable?

No matter who we get, I guess we can count on continued success in “Death Valley”
IMHO
LSU fans are more likely to see their team shut out in Baton Rouge than they are to see a win.

You still haven't answered my question.
How many of the 60 Alabama natives on your chart played at Alabama?

Whoever the coach is will win at least one title
If miles can win one so can the next coach
The pressure will make it difficult for anyone to sustain what saban did and that coach will feel it

No one said it will be bad, it will just be tough.
I don't think coaches will run away from the challenge though as most are just confident and competitive by nature.
They wouldnt even be in a position to be considered otherwise.
Tough how? Tough was what Shula was handed. Saban was also not handed a great program, but it was in better shape than what was given to Shula.
That is what it looks like when it's a bad job. Walking into what they have now is a coaches dream unless he just thinks he can't get it done. In which case, he's not the right match to start with.
I'll never understand why people try to paint expectations of the fanbase as a negative.

Alabama job is very desirable after Saban.
#1 - Hire excellent coordinators who actually know the game.
#2 - Don't get in the way of the booster-run recruiting machine.
#3 - Let the collection of coaching and player talent do it's thing, and act like you're somehow in control of it all.

Look it up.
How many of the 59 played at LSU?
That's not the point, the point is the talent level in each state.

Because, if your next coach loses more than 2 games in each of his first two years, he may get his arse fired.

No other SEC team or major program in the state. Same as Georgia.
This is a widely accepted fact, not sure why its rustling your jimmies so hard.
You do realize that just because LSU has the most per capita, it doesn't mean you have the most in total right?

They're not hiring another Saban because that's just not how it works.
That said, the school is committed to winning. I doubt the next guy goes a decade without winning a chip.

What advantage does Alabama have over any other elite program
Now that is an interesting question, and I am a bit surprised you made it.
Alabama had the good fortune of being the first Southern school to play in (and won) the Rose Bowl, and they had a President that realized how important football was going to be (President Denny) so he laid out the resources to do just that. It has just continued, as Alabama went to four Rose Bowls (25, 26, 30, 35) Because of this, Alabama attracted talent from around the nation.

Again, you're misunderstanding the entire point.
Alabama has to battle Auburn in state for its players, LSU has no such obstacle.
The problem for LSU since Saban has returned to the SEC is that he had made many inroads in Louisiana recruiting and has basically recruited the state like a de facto in state rival.

Again, this is about what is the easiest job a new coach can walk into, not what has been done in the past.
You missed the point, it is about the past that makes the future

Recruiting will drop off a bit (or stay where it has been in the last 3-4 years). Essentially they'll be excellent but they won't be going on a run of 8 straight number 1 classes.

None of that matters to an 18 year old kid in 2020.
