Let’s be serious... there is no more spoiled fan base than Bama. Once Saban retires and the law of averages takes over again their fan base will implode. Firing every coach that doesn’t win a Natty in the first year being coach.

Even so, anyone good enough for Bama to hire is going to get paid. Plus, they'd already be walking into a team stacked with talent.

UGA proves year after year that talent with an inability to coach gets you no where.

Probably not implode but entirely grateful. We know we are in the midst of a historic run, and don't expect it to last forever.

Imagine the euphoria you experienced last year, we've experienced it for a decade and running. Might be a severe let down afterwards, but who knows.

In any case, it's been a fun ride.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.

When he retires he'll leave the team stocked with top players.

Finding a great coach won't be an issue.

We've had 5 coaches win national titles and 4 of them won multiple titles.

Only team in the SEC to win a conf title in every decade since the league was created.

They’re not going to want to coach in Harsin’s shadow

A1abana can’t just plug in a new coach and keep winning.

They aren’t LSU.

I mean LSU is in the running for the Natty normally every year minus this one. We make it to Game every 4 years recently. That’s about what I’d expect Bama to end up with after Saban.

And Yes this is kinda a troll but also not really. I mean seriously try following the greatest college coach ever. It’s going to take a confident mother F to do that.

Although outside of Bear and Saban, only one guy has done so since the early 1940s.

Just my opinion but I think as an overall job, LSU and UGA are still better just due to their recruiting advantages.

Alabama really offers no actual advantage over any other "big" program and has tremendous expectations, especially in the first years after Saban.

Or a well built system catalyzed by Saban. Good thing the university adapted well and are the trend setters in multiple facets. With that, Alabama has developed into a 'Fortune 500' company who plays football.

Its one of the only schools left that will let a football program do whatever it takes with as much money as it takes with a huge arse full of history and prestige. They will even name your wife the first lady of the state in not so jokingly manner.

There are only a handful at MOST left

Alabama, Ohio State, MAYBE LSU, who else?

This isn't about past results, its about what it is a great situation for a future coach.

Saban has an advantage in that he coached at LSU and has recruited talent rich Louisiana for decades, that won't come as natural for a new coach.

Let's see.

The next coach will be paid 8-10 million a year.

Inherent a loaded roster filled with 4 and 5 star players.

Have the best facilities money can buy.

I'm guessing the answer is yes

Any coach who can't handle the expectations or doesn't have the same expectations isn't the coach Alabama wants to start with.

So if that is what makes the job more desirable for them, then Alabama is just filtering out the bad ones.

In truth, Alabama is going to give the coach every bit of support he needs to make the program successful. And that is for the most part unmatched.

PS: It's funny listening to LSU fans act like following Saban is bad considering your entire program was basically built by Saban.

No one said it will be bad, it will just be tough.

I don't think coaches will run away from the challenge though as most are just confident and competitive by nature.

They wouldnt even be in a position to be considered otherwise.
