Not sure. I’d guess by end of 2023 at least 4 of the following 6 teams finish ranked:

Auburn
South Carolina
Ole Miss
Tennessee
Florida
Kentucky

What’s your point here? To prove my point that as good as LSU and Bama are, we can both lose an SEC game and still make it to Atlanta while you sit at home?

It sounds like you are arguing that the east is tougher than the west

Who gives a shite how soft ugas schedule appears? The road to the natty goes through the West champ and ultimately the best teams in college football.

So tired of this crappy storyline.

A 63-38 beat down by South Carolina and an almost loss to Florida last year says otherwise. I said LSU or Bama will be playing Georgia in Atlanta for the conference championship and he decided to insert himself into that conversation by posting final scores against both teams from last year, which was completely irrelevant.

Says otherwise to the argument you claimed I was making.

Your statement

That the east is stronger than the west?

And you are countering that argument by describing how tough 2 east teams played Tennessee?

Either you are not very good at making a point or you really don't have one.

Your statement came off like LSU & Alabama would be a tougher game than Tennessee. Maybe they will be. Maybe they won't.

My point was that Tennessee beat both teams the last time we played and you have no way of knowing who will be tougher. We absolutely dominated LSU in every aspect of the game from start to finish.

Georgia outclasses everyone on both sides of the ball with line play. that's why the schedule is deemed fairly easy.

all those teams will have better than average offenses, but can their oline hold up and can they keep their offense on the field for half the game? we don't know how Georgia will score this year without bennett pulling the trigger. we may all discover that bennett really was a top notch college qb who didn't get enough credit because the team was so good.

I'm losing more confidence in UGA winning the East each day that passes, even with that baby soft schedule.

Wow. That's serious. Should we be worried that you are losing confidence?

I worry more about the interior defensive line than I worry about the offense.

We sent 7 players to the NFL the past 2 seasons on the interior line. Many if them 1st rounders.

It isn't just stopping the run. It is shutting the run down that makes our defense click.

3rd and long versus 3rd and manageable are two entirely different ballgames (playclock, defensive depth, offensive chances).

Our offense will score 40+. Will we be clutch in the redzone? Clutch in the 4th quarter?
We can score 40+ a game and the answer still be no to the above questions.
But if we are scoring 40+... is it the offense that would be the problem in a loss?

I'm not trying to insult you, cause I think we are going to miss Bennett more than some UGA fans wanna admit. But I think if you've paid attention the last two seasons, both of those teams had two things in common that trumps even the presence of Bennett;

Both had fantastic OLines (both years ended up #2 in the JM award behind Michigan, including a cyborg of a TE in Bowers.

And this mainly...they both had industrial strength Ds that were ranked at or near the top of every statistical category. I think that fact alone is really why we won the natties.
