Yes. All of these Saban hires are better, more accomplished head coaches than Kiffin.
Curt Cignetti > Kiffin
Kirby Smart > Kiffin
Dan Lanning > Kiffin
Mario Cristobal > Kiffin
Steve Sarkisian >Kiffin

You sung his praises until he took the LSU job. You're such a clown.
My opinion of Kiffin has been consistent. Great offensive playcaller. Great QB coach. A restless, autistic narcissist who leaves everything in flames when he leaves. I have stated from the beginning that Kiffin is blackballed in Tuscaloosa not because of his coaching ability, but because of all the baggage that comes along with him. And I support this. But LSU and Louisiana in general are so dysfunctional he may be the perfect coach for LSU.

Texas fans were booing Sarkisian's team just as recent as week 3 of last year, meanwhile, Ole Miss's sold out stadium was chanting in unison for Kiffin not to leave them
Interested to see if Sarkisian can field an offense in the top half of the SEC after failing to do so last year.
The ivory tower you're living in will crumble when Kiffin loses a few games.

It doesn’t look like that at all to me. Rather it’s becoming inevitable that Sark will either win a championship at Texas or prove that he's not the guy you want to give $40MM rosters to.

There's really just not a stat you can point at and say that Sark is a better HC. Sark has one fewer loss than Kiffin but Kiffin has coached in like 20 more games. Kiffin's run at Ole Miss is more impressive than Sark's at Texas considering the vast resource difference and the baby shite soft schedules Texas had to open SEC play.
If there's a weakness, it's that Kiffin has folded in a ton of big moments and let his personal life influence his results more but he still has a better record than Sark despite that.

I agree that Lane isn't #1 but I'd be curious to see what this top 5 looks like.

Sark has made it to two CFP final fours. Kiffin has made zero.
Sark has an SEC conference championship game appearance. Kiffin has zero.
Sark’s highest final poll ranking was 3rd, he also finished 4th. Kiffin’s best finish was 6th, his second best was 9th.
There are three stats that show Sark is a more accomplished coach than Kiffin.

Noone does less with more. Well Texas A&M does, I stand corrected.
Both programs need better coaches. With all the oil money Texas has, there is no excuse to not win a title every few years. Imagine if they had a coach like Urban Meyer, Kirby Smart, Les Miles, Pete Carroll with that easy access to that much money.

Better or more accomplished? For example, Dabo is more accomplished than most of this list but he probably isn't better.

So you'd say Dabo is the first or second best active CFB coach?

Place will probably be even more magical when lsu makes a run in the playoffs which is more likely than your wet dream 8-5 season.

Facts are hard to argue with when comparing the two.
Everything else is simply bravado and chest-thumping, and everyone can tell the difference.

He’d be in the top ten. I’d weight more recent results, after 2021, heavier than those from before NIL/portal which will ding Dabo.
But if comparing him to a guy with 16 years head coaching experience with 0 P4 championships and 0 CFP wins Dabo gets ranked ahead of him every time.
So no, I would not rank Dabo 1 or 2, but he is definitely in the top 10 of current active coaches. Look at his last 8 seasons and tell me who besides Cignetti and Kirby would be ranked head and shoulders ahead of him. An argument could easily be made he is still top 5.

I mean if accomplishments trump hypotheticals, as you said, then he's clearly #1 or #2, no question.

Kirby is clearly #1. But beyond that it becomes a muddled mess. One could certainly make the argument Dabo should be #2 based on his accomplishments. Most people myself included would put Day and Cignetti ahead of him. But a person could make a logical argument he is number 2. A lot of what people think about Dabo will come down to this year. If he has a solid season and makes the playoffs last season will be written off as an anomaly.
He has a chance to make a statement in game one.
