And over the last 10 years Texas' recruiting classes have been highly ranked only to result in a 10 year composite record of 70-55, including years of 5-7, 5-7, 5-7 and 6-7. 40% of the last 10 under .500 in the weakest P5 conference in the nation.

texas is paying high school kids to commit and to stop taking more visits to other schools. Money is being exchanged with high school players. This is different than what A&M did, which was to promise payment when enrolled.

High school coaches are complaining loud and clear.

Legal action forthcoming, not from NCAA or SEC, but from other universities directly suing horn collectives. The wild west will get wilder.

A&M could get hit in the crossfire, we’ll see how much truth is there to Jimbo’s statements. But the 5-7 horn collective paying high school kids will likely get taken to court. High school coaches to act as witnesses.

ETA: It really is fascinating watching these dumbfrick aggy fever dreams take shape in real time. Nearly every word of this bullshite is pieced together from vague Loochie posts and random speculation on Texags. The complaining high school coaches and the pending lawsuit are just chef's kiss good.

I tried to tell you all but no one would listen. Oh we are SEC! SEC! SEC! We win all the titles!

No, Alabama wins all the titles while the rest of you piggyback on them.

The days of a new truck and some spending money is not enough when players can now legally earn a real income.

You misunderstood what I was saying. I just mean that LSU and other schools will be in a more competitive recruiting market now so those guys they got 2 years ago just because of the SEC bump will now be looking at 2 additional regional schools in the SEC as well.

Why does Texas have 1 national title in the last 50 years? We don't have institutionalized cheating. Sure, the alumni does $100 handshakes. But we don't do high level cheating like OU, A&M and Bama. Bama, you know your titles are all BS, right? Do you really think that so many kids from major metropolitan areas want to go to a crap academic school in the middle of nowhere?

Right after a unanimous SCOTUS decision laid the groundwork for NIL, Texas to the SEC came out in a month. Texas never wanted to be a part of SEC level cheating. Now, paying players is legit.

NIL isn't going away and Texas is going to bury all of you. I hope you had fun with CFB. You are all done.

Purist for what? College football has never had parity. There was always a handful of powers that won nearly everything while other schools have random flashes of success.

NIL is only going to make it worse.

NIL is bringing some deep pocket Blue Bloods back from the dead (Texas, USC).
But going forward there will be less parity than ever.

The schools with the deepest pockets could always sell recruits on facilities, now that can flat out pay them also.

The poor schools are screwed.
They lack the money for decent facilities & NIL deals.

You need to contact the NCAA and tell them their website is wrong, they seem to be under the impression that GA, AL, and LSU have won the last three year's titles.

It's almost August and most teams have around 20 commits.
Not much time or room to make up a lot of ground.

Plenty of time. texas and PSU have been notoriously early with their commits for years now. The top SEC schools really pick up about Dec or so.

I'm sure bama will finish top 5.
And a good chance that either Georgia or LSU may sneak in.
I don't think that Ohio State, Notre Dame, or Texas will finish outside of the top 5.

USC has been on a tear since joining the Big Ten.
They only have 12 recruits, so they are a threat to make a run into top 5.

UGA only has 15 commits and is 6th, Alabama is 11th with only 13 commits.

Plenty of room for both to make up ground

Olaus Alinen’s expected commitment tomorrow would move Alabama to 7th. That’s how fluid it is in July.
