I'd say in the annals of history, Eric Zeier is the most underappreciated QB in SEC history.

This is partially true.

Gus hasn’t had a QB like Nick Marshall and Cam Newton since the end of the 2014 season.

Jarrett Stidham, Jeremy Johnson, Bo Nix, Sean White, Tyler Queen, Woody Barrett and so forth aren’t the runners Gus had early on. And for whatever reason, he hasn’t gone back to those types of quarterbacks.
