Shepards Pie is right up there for me
Found this and tried it last night. Pretty tasty and one can control sodium.
french onion sausage pasta
1lb Sausage (I used 1.2 lbs of local Hot Sausage)
· 1 tbsp olive oil ( didn't need)
· 2 tbsp butter
· 2 yellow onions, sliced into half moons
· 1/2 tsp salt
· 1/2 cup white wine
· 1 bunch thyme (about 10 sprigs)- (I used dry thyme)
· 1lb dried rigatoni
· 4 cups beef broth
· 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
· 1/2 cup half & half or almond milk ( I used 2% milk)
· 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
· parsley & parmesan cheese for topping
1. In a large dutch oven, heat to medium-high. Add olive oil and once hot, add sausage. Break into small pieces and cook until no longer pink. Drain grease from sausage and set aside in bowl.
2. In same pot, add butter. Once melted, add sliced onions and salt. Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until onions have begun to caramelize and brown.
3. Add in white wine to deglaze bottom of pan, scraping brown bites as you stir. Add in thyme and cook for 2 minutes.
4. Pour in pasta and beef broth and cover with lid. Stir every 2-3 minutes, and cook until pasta is cooked to your liking, about 10-12 minutes. Turn off heat and take out bunches of thyme.
5. Add sausage back into pasta. Stir in worcestershire sauce, half and half, and grated parmesan cheese and stir until creamy. Serve and top with more parmesan cheese and parsley.

re: College football’s most heartbreaking losses of all-time

Henry Jones...#2 West Virginia losing at home to Pittsburgh
It was the last game of the season and that loss kept them out of the national title game. It has to be at the top.
Buddy had a ticket for me to the game. He is a 'Neer alumni. I a fan. To dang cold....didnt go.......watched on tv. Laughed hard.

Gleen Davis West Point'47. Heisman Trophy winner '46. 2d Place Heisman twice '45 and '44. I '45, his backfield mate, Doc Blanchard '47 won. Their senior year the backfield had two Hesiman Tropht winners and the Sullivan award winner- QB Arnold Tucker.
Davis played in the NFL, but busted a knee filming "The Spirit of West Point"
Dated Liz Taylor, took here to the Oscars in 1949, was sent to Korea and lost her.
Davis still holds a couple NCAA rushing records.

re: Tennessee brags about their athletic program
Posted by havoclax on 6/27/23 at 7:42 am
General Neyland rolled over in his grave when that former mighty Vol FB team dropped Army from their FB schedule last fall. The game was scheduled for years. I guess all those tough years brings reality to the Vol nation. What a joke. Tenn has lost or tied Army the last 2 time they played. Both in Neyland. 1984 and 1986. I used to root for Tenn against Bama - but it has become quite a joke. Oh. Nice win last fall. Joke.

Cold ponies were great in the summer time in 1979. Miller is swill as is any bud product. Served 4 years in Germany 82-86. Good bier only. or no bier. Swill.
