Austin Simmons was available but I guess Austin didn't trust Kiffin since he lost his starting job to injury and was healthy but didn't get his job back. I want to thank Kiffin for allowing Austin to choose Missouri over LSU and others. Many didn't think he would be any good. So far Drinkwitz and Missouri fans are happy to see him doing well so far. Austin is the best quarterback Drinkwitz has had since he became the HC at Missouri.

LSU also has a new offensive line with only two returning starters.

Yeah when Texas played them in the playoffs it was clear Skattaboo was the engine and levity was second fiddle.

People forget how bad Leavitt was at Michigan state. Couldn’t throw the ball then either. Crazy lane convinced the chicken tendies man to pay him as much as Chambliss.

I ain't no quarteback whisperer but I think a bigger issue with Leavitt is his dependency on his legs hampers his willingness to go through the progressions. LSU's line was giving him ample time, at times, and he pulled the ball down and took off. That is something that can be fixed and call Kiffin what you will but he is probably one of the best at fixing that sort of thing. Again, I ain't a QB guru but it looks to me like he takes off running too quickly at times. He has the ability to do so but at times doing so too quickly causes many issues, the biggest of which is punting a lot.
