Is it better to win the SEC season, or SEC tournament?

I honestly don’t know, because I never paid attention.
Maybe a Kentucky fan can help me out.

conference champ > conference tourney champ

The tourney is a nice way to work on that resume. The regular season is forever.

The season but the season itself is defined in the dance.

Season.
You know, the tourney is just an exhibition.

Is it really, though?
Isn’t it better to win the conference and get knocked out in the first round than to finish 3rd in the conference and get knocked out in the 2nd round?

Tournament, gets you an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
Regular season title doesn't get you anything.

You might as well not win the conference if knowing your team gets bounced in the first two rounds.
It is embarrassing and makes the conference look bad. So either the team had injuries, went cold or they were a fraud and got exposed by tougher competition.
It is nice to win conference titles but it should always be secondary to elite eight and final fours.

Obviously the season. But it’s a lot of fun to win the tournament.

Why do we have regular season champions in basketball and baseball but you actually have to win the SECCG to be the conference champion in football?

I'm sorry, is this something we know?

Roy Kramer wrote a book on that way back in 1992. Maybe you could get someone to read it to you.

Define better?
It is better to win the automatic bid and know you have no concerns come selection Sunday. Regular season titles are nice, but if you win a regular season title and get bounced the first weekend of the NCAAs, not much success there.
The flip side is the regular season grind and coming out on top. Again though, NCAA basketball programs are defined by what they do in March.

Regular season title. When’s the last time the SEC Champ failed to make the tournament after winning the regular season (except when the champ was on probation)? The automatic bid doesn’t really mean anything

When is the last time Arkansas made the Sweet 16? You bozos act like you're UCLA. OLE MISS has made a Sweet 16 more recently than Arkansas.
