Lauren Betts' battle with serious depression is well documented and stated that Dawn Staley reached out to her when she was in the hospital. That doesn't sound racist to me. Her scowl and demeanor may put a lot of people off but so what?
The people who call her racist should look in the mirror. To them any person who expresses any opinion or view on race, including the well documented history of racial prejudice in our country is a racist.

You are a part the problem that allows people like Dawn Staley to be as racist as they are. You make excuses for her terrible behavior instead of calling it out. It's well documented that the woman is a racist. I don't care if she made a phone call to a white player in a mental hospital. She's still a racist and the comments that come out of her mouth are disgusting. After the whole BYU thing, and many postgame interviews that were amazingly racist, I am shocked that anyone would try to say, otherwise. She needs to clean up her act and quit spreading hate. She has a great pulpit to stop this shite, but she chooses to continue it.

Is she was racist, she wouldn’t have scheduled BYU. She canceled the game bc she didn’t want her players to be treated the same way the black duke volleyball player was treated.
