Tebow won 2 national titles 2 SEC titles and a Heisman. You can add up what all those Mannings did in college and not equal Tebow.

The whole manning family is overrated imo. Tremendous athletes, but they are not the family of football. 1 Brady is better than the whole family.

He’s also the most overrated player in Saints history.

Cost LSU a shot at a NC in 1969 by defeating them in Jackson. LSU held out for a Cotton Bowl matchup with Texas but Notre Dame decided to go to a bowl for the first time in years. LSU stayed home.

Archie playing for the Rebs/Saints at the time didn’t help...helluva player. And with all of the success his kids and grandkids are having playing football right now, it shows the depth of football knowledge he truly possesses. He’s one of the greats.

I wish people would learn that terms lime overrated are relative terms.

What perceived rating does Archie have that you think is unfair? He was a great QB and probably the best OM has had.

If you had referenced a thread where everyone was claiming Archie was the best QB in the history of the sport, then, yes, you’d have a point. However, I don’t think you’ll find such a thread and instead are just trolling because it’s well known that Archie’s teams’ results didn’t represent the caliber of player he was.

Ole Miss has the campus speed limit for his jersey number.
Plus tons of tributes for him all over the campus. At a true power school he is just another qb. But at Ole Miss he is a legend.

He also had 25 rushing TDs in his career...including 14 in 1969...which you omitted. Was that intellectual dishonesty on your part, or merely sheer stupidity?

1970 4th

He missed two games with a broken arm in 1970, which again, you failed to take into account. Same question...intellectual dishonesty or stupidity?

Lost to Miss State his senior year.

He didn't play against MSU his senior year because of the broken arm. So again, a serious question:

Are you really this fricking stupid, or are you just a really bad troll?

You posted something. You got called out. Now you mad.

You haven't been here long. Maybe you're new to this whole interacting with other people thing. But that's how this works.

Cry us a river.

Ole Miss finished in the SEC with him as starter
1968 5th
1969 5th
1970 4th
Only 10 teams back then.

Plus remember Alabama was way down during this era.
Lost to Miss State his senior year. Lost to LSU by 44 his senior year.

Record in 3 years to Miss State 1-1-1.
Never beat Auburn.

1. Stop making threads.

2. All this thread did was show you are an idiot who doesn't understand the history of college football, yet thought himself expert enough to start a thread on it.

Go look up Namath or Stabler's stats. The game was much more physical and played much differently back then.

Not knowing much about Ole Miss football in the era, this is kind of hard to believe from looking at the records

1966 8-3
1967 6-4-1
1968 7-4-1 (with Archie)
1969 8-3 (with Archie)
1970 7-4 (with Archie)
1971 10-2
1972 5-5
