Bama in the west, UGA in the east.

Boogs will still finish second.

Or worse with the GusBus calling the plays.

Hell yeah. A chance to beat Bama twice in one year, or to get a muligan if they win the first matchup. Sign me up!

Whatever man. LSU beats Florida at more than twice the pace Auburn beats Georgia. Playing an opponent on their home field like every 12 years is ridiculous. Just be like every other conference and play a rotating schedule that is equitable. Everybody plays everybody the same amount of times.

Maybe. But LSU fans also cray about playing UF at 200 times the pace of Auburn.

Agreed. Mike Slive was an incompetent moron who ruined our great conference.

This. All fans should want this.

Heck no. Playing 4 home games vs 5 away in the SEC, that's a deal breaker.

I'd settle for 1 neutral site game per team....

Go to 9 SEC games per year when the CFP just picks from Conference Champions. The SEC is afraid of losing out on a 2nd participant if they go to 9 games.

What gives if Auburn moves?

Going to a 9 game conf schedule, ending Divisional play, allowing 2 x permanent rivals, no FCS and a requirement to exhaust all opportunities to schedule a mandatory 2 x power 5 opponents OOC would be a major improvement over the current system. It is ridiculous to go 8+ years without playing a conference opponent in some cases.

With no division champs, it allows the top two SEC records to play in the SEC CG with head to head then the CFP final regular season rankings as the tie breakers.

The 9 game conf schedule, with 2 x permanent rivals, enures each player gets at least one home and one away game vs each SEC team over the course of a 4 yr period.

That change coupled with a P5 scheduling preference req and no option for FCS eliminates 2-3 schit ooc games per yr. And protects all major rivalries

Interesting...but your last paragraph would put the conference at a disadvantage against the other conferences.

I don't see any realignment happening. Auburn is not giving up the Iron Bowl and Bama is not giving up Tenn as a permanent game either.

Does Auburn really want to play the Iron Bowl and a potential rematch a week later if they would win the East.

Auburn wants the recruiting advantage of the SEC East. At least that's what I've seen posted on the subject on here before.
