Georgia and Alabama lead the conference by a wide margin and let's just leave it at that.

This post just made me realize what's wrong with this place. It's populated by a bunch of Yankee Carpetbaggers.

I feel like my IQ dropped 30 or 40 points just for reading this thread.

Largest redneck fanbase in the SEC is Alabama followed closely by Tennessee.

Florida has a surprisingly large redneck fanbase

Working class white people, particularly from the south? Every SEC fanbase is full of those people, except maybe Vandy. I’m sure Bama has a bunch of them.

It is impossible to have University of Alabama zealots understand something when their whole identity, self-esteem and self-worth depend on them NOT understanding it. The Bama fanbase has always identified with a backward population that places winning in sports over esthetics or academic excellence. "Roll Tide" is the shameful apology for those uncaring naïve folks without personal integrity, self-respect or sense of decency.

No. LSU, MSU, and Arkansas all have them beat.

Yet the U.S. Space program to send men to the moon, and bring them back was developed and managed in Huntsville. Alabama literally sent men to the moon and brought them back. Skylab, the ISS, and the shuttle program all had to have Huntsville's stamp of approval before going forward.

How do I know this? I was there.

You leave in a state that can not keep human waste off your streets and you want to talk about self-respect and human decency?

No, it isn't. Just like being a hoosier (STL area version of redneck) isn't. Being a know it all elitist, otoh, is.

Without Auburn University, bama fans would be broke, naked, uneducated, homeless, hungry, sick and sober. Thank God for NASA's Auburn engineers! Cannot imagine a uat astronaut ever being allowed in space. Now you can always celebrate that Billy Buford "Bubba" Beauregard has announced he will play for bama next year. Row Tyde!

Seems to be. I also anticipate that people will say Georgia has the most rednecks. However, people also talk shite because Georgia is a blue state now. Those ideas seem to conflict.

Anyway, Alabama fans are the nastiest, most unkept group of savages. Whenever I am around Alabama fans, I think to myself, “This is what 1972 must have been like.” I mean it’s like going back in time to a less sophisticated era.
I really think Alabama makes the rest of the conference look bad.
In the SEC, Alabama has the largest percentage of its fanbase who are NOT alumni of the university. Nationally, they fall behind only Notre Dame.

Notre Dame's non-alumni fans are largely just catholics supporting a catholic school.

Alabama's non-alumni fans are largely "every redneck with a GED in the State of Alabama and surrounding areas."

You can be a working class white person from the South and totally not be a redneck. Rednecks are ignorant, uncouth, savages who lack manners and decency.

How's that Stanford Indian/Cardinal/Evergreen Tree football program going these days?

You seem more frustrated than normal.

Rednecks were okay until they discovered meth.
