The love for a team that played teams with half rosters astounds me lol. Covid year don’t count

the beauty of the 2020 team is the "COVID YEAR" responses they always generate

like Alabama won five titles other than that one with Nick Saban but 2020 they gotta grumble about like everyone wasn't begging to play football that year

You know why 2019 LSU was the GOAT?

Because y’all keep talking about it.

Squeaked out wins over Texas (via fluke throw/catch as Burrow was running for his life), Alabama and Auburn in game decided by a touchdown or less.

Made Plumlee look like an Olympic sprinter as he gashed the LSU defense for over 200 yards rushing.

Nearly gave up 40 points to Vandy.

Despite a talented roster, the results don't reflect the resume of one of the top 10-20 teams in college football.

I'd still take 2012 Bama. #1 defense in the nation and AJ threw almost twice as many TDs as he did in 2011.

That’s compelling rationale. I think the fact they had to play ND in the championship, a team that didn’t belong on that field, makes me not give as much credit to them.

Are they entirely over-romanticized on this board? Also yes

I wonder why LSU's best team ever would be over-romanticized on an LSU board.

I think people forget that at it's core, TigerDroppings is an LSU board. It's a great board, so it has also grown into the SEC board and in some cases national board, but at the core it is an LSU board. That's why LSU fans on here seem most annoying and why our best team ever is talked about more...there are just a whole hell of a lot more of us on here.

Offensively no. As a whole team, yes. The 2019 defense was solid in the playoffs but were Swiss cheese during the season but they were so good offensively that it didn’t matter.

They also probably miss out on the title game if Ohio State wasn't banned from postseason play. Can't hold that against them though.

Texas fan your not even technically in the SEC yet please don’t be another A&M fan. I don’t think I could take it.

Currently I’m good with Texas my wife and niece graduated from there, I tailgate there including this year against TCU . I wore my LSU gear and not one bad experience. Please for the love of God don’t be your little brother. A&M is despised a lot in the SEC. They are a horrible fan base. Please.

Everyone chirps about the 2020 bama team because of the ALL SEC schedule which was soft serve ice cream.

It's impossible for a No. 1 team to be "underrated", and imho 2019 LSU is the best team of all time. At very least offensively.

So, I guess?

Except all of his topics when he first joined were about Missouri?

Also - how often do you read Orangebloods and other Texas-only forums?

That said, if Tua hadn’t been coming off an injury, Bama would have beat them.

That's twice in two days I've seen an LSU fan actually admit the truth. I am shocked.

The rest of you know it's true too, you'll just never admit it. It's ok, we know.

Not bashing, they were a great team but it seems that emotions have overtaken facts.

Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, Marshall, Moss, Clyde.

Those are the facts, nothing emotional about it.

Only by their own delusional, desperate to stay relevant fan base. Before 2019 they hadn’t won shite in 10 years but one West Div title (then got punked 21-0 in the BCS by Bama), and ain’t done shite in the three years since except sink to the bottom of the college football ocean like the fvcking Titanic.
