2011 Bama only played 2 top 10 teams which was LSU twice. They played a shite schedule and definitely didn’t deserve a rematch. Any historical stats should also note the weak schedule.

I think the same can be said for bama.

So by default, that’s who people compare their teams to
2019 LSU and GOAT trended on Twitter for 2 days after the UGA win.

Was literally the first comparison made on the broadcast OF THE GAME during the wrap-up.

Says the guy who's team just so happened to lose to LSU at home in 2019

In fairness, Texas wasn't a very good team and it was a pretty close game. I mean, maybe thta is what he is basing his statement off?

I think 2019 LSU was one of the best of all time, but it is almost impossible to quantify. To me, it's dumb to claim they were or were not. It's just impossible to say or prove.

2011 Bama had the defense to make Joey miserable.

Those games would have been hard fought contests.

Good God that game was awful, they ran the wishbone and were cut blocking our D linemen all day. We ended up with several injuries going into the Auburn game. Should never play them again.

The thing about the 2019 team is they beat 5 of the final ap top 8 by a combined 230-132.

2019 bama was better than bama 2020 . Bama would’ve beat any one in the country that year besides LSU . And 2011 bama lost to LSU in there own house

The 2019 Alabama defense had a true freshman starting at ILB, who was the "QB" of the defense, calling the lineups, etc.

Despite starting all year due to injuries, he didn't even make the 2 deep in 2020. Didn't make it in 2021 either and then transferred out.

LSU fans should be familiar with him. He was the linebacker who couldn't cover Clyde on the wheel route that LSU abused multiple times whenever it was needed all game.

I think the most overrated team was Texas' national champs of 1969. After a gentleman's agreement was made to pit LSU against Texas in the Cotton Bowl, the Longhorns jumped at the chance to play Notre Dame after the bowl ban was broken. Texas should have lost to Arkansas, but they did pull it out. Archie Manning and Ole Miss defeated LSU 26-23 in Jackson; LSU was undefeated and rather than attempting a field goal to tie the game, the Tigers went for it on fourth down and failed. The Rebels had a fairly easy time defeating Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl (the game was not as close as the final score was). LSU had an impregnable defense against the run and would have stopped Texas" wishbone cold.

Has any team ever beat a schedule like LSU did in 2019. LSU beat 7 teams in the top ten ranking. Never happened before, and the games were not close. Best season ever by a college team, makes them the greatest college team ever in my book. I don't understand any argument otherwise.

Because this place is still 50% LSU and that's the team that is most talked about as no. 1 place over here?

Just a theory.

I think it has to do with the fact that Burrow, Jefferson, and Chase would assemble the most dangerous offense in the NFL today -- without question -- in an era featuring the likes of Mahomes and Kelce, Allen and Diggs, etc.
