Wright and Harris are going to sue the SEC. They will win.
In that case, the SEC will have to explain why its actions not to follow a court ruling it was specifically named in is justified. It won’t be able to.
The SEC will be held in contempt.
The SEC will have to explain why they follow NCAA guidelines for eligibility and have honored every TRO except this one. Their reasoning will not be sufficient. They will be accused of discriminating against these players.
During discovery, all communication between the league, its employees, and its member institutions will be subpoenaed. This subpoena could reveal criminal collusion and conspiracy charges to keep these two players from playing in the SEC.

Cool.
Good luck to them during the trial in 2028.

Or the parties settle for peanuts and none of that happens.

Sankey is a dumb motherfricker

I expect the SEC will just hand them the money and settle this one out of court.

Why dont you guys just get the hell out? Or treat this as it is, a serious situation, if you want to thumb your nose at the other 15 schools just LEAVE ALREADY. Winning without morals is LOW CLASS.
And the NCAA does not have to pay these brat athletes.

Good lord. You went from “they might sue” to “criminal conspiracy charges” in five sentences, and they haven’t even filed the lawsuit yet.
Filing a lawsuit doesn’t mean winning it. Contempt requires violating a clear court order, and the SEC hasn’t even imposed the threatened penalties. It went to federal court to determine what it can legally do. That’s not contempt. That’s how litigation works.

100% but this could have been avoided which is why Sankey F'd this all up. the SEC is going to pay $2-3M (which is small but not nothing) when they could have avoided this all along.

Exactly what I think is best. Too much bad will between the two groups now for either to have trust.

This will really help LSU not get voted out of the SEC.

That shite cuts both ways. That could screw LSU. I am not about to sit here and act like LSU isn't pushing the limits.Who knows what really went on in those back channels. I'm not sure I want all of that to be made public.

You only want LSU out because in the new landscape of the game, you realize you are going to have a hard time competing with LSU.

So they not holding a vote today to kick LSU out just because of the possibility of adding the two players? You cant be this retarded? Numerous quotes in the media from the SEC to that effect.

Settlement peanuts is going to likely be millions to tens of millions of dollars EACH with a NDA slapped onto it.

Lets make sure the settlement payment comes straight out of Sankey's pocket.
