Get rid of Missouri, Mississippi State, Arkansas, and Texas A&M.
Add Georgia Tech, Clemson, Duke, and Florida State.
SEC is a joke academically. Duke and Georgia Tech would beef up the academics. Truthfully, colleges need to get out of athletics for profit. If a student cannot get in on his or her own grades and tests scores, shouldn’t get into the school.

Swap Poop Swastika U for Florida State or UCF. Sorry Mizzou. Tried to embrace you, but you know what happened.

Clemson would bring nothing to the SEC in terms of $$$'s/TV sets.
Halfway between SC and UGA, they are already firmly within the SEC footprint. And even if they were in the conference, two of the last 3 NCG's would have likely been settled at the SECCG instead.
The real answer here is one of the NC schools (UNC or NCSU) and/or VT. NC with a population of over 10 million, is 60% larger than Missouri. Even VA with a population of 8 million is 33% larger and brings in the DC market.
From a compelling games point of view, Clemson is a good choice. From a $$$$ point of view, it's not.

To be honest, I would drop Vandy out of the East, pick up UCF.
Drop Arky out of the west and pick up OU.
UCF? Why don’t we just invite Samford and Jacksonville State, too?

This off season topic... but I’ll play...
I like Mizzou fine, but they’d probably be happier and fit a little better in B10...
I’d back in Tulane and Ga Tech just to get 2 originals back in.. just because....
I’d also add Clemson if I could, they really are more SEC

What? It might not in Greenville but it sure as heck would put a ton of "eyes" from NY,Chicago,LA etc. Ya think the ratings MIGHT be a little higher if Clemson-Bama was the CBS game instead of
Bama-OM?

Swap Missouri out for Florida State. Nothing against Missouri but their place in the SEC makes zero geographic sense. An ACC school with a top football program should have been invited in tandem with A&M. It’s also always bothered me that SEC East schools basically have two easy wins against Kentucky and Vandy every year. Say what you will about the Mississippi schools but I have a hard time seeing Bama or LSU or Auburn ever winning 31 out of their last 32 games against those schools like Florida has against Kentucky over those years. The only way to alleviate that problem is by adding another powerhouse program to the SEC East and Missouri is not it.

Drop aTm and Missouri and add Virginia Tech and NC State. Both have well rounded sports programs, adds the 2 traditional Southeastern states the SEC is missing, and would maximize TV revenues.
