Average person cuts streaming services and eating out to make ends meet. Restaurants and streaming services cut budgets due to loss of customers. Those employees are now jobless collecting unemployment and cutting their spending to only necessities. Whatever they spend their money on suffers and on and on and on.

Depends on your situation. I live just south of Pittsburgh, but I grew up in WV where there is an entire community of people who have property and have hobbies that are excellent for doomsday stuff. I keep about 2 months of food and water on hand with a generator but if shite gets really bad it's a bug out bag to my sister's.

Oh no they threaten liberal cities that the middle east and north korea have threatened for 50+ years. They have no way to deploy a nuke if they even made one.
