I got this idea over at TexAgs where they all agreed LSU in 2012. Win that game and we’re in the natty. I’d also say LSU this last year. It’s been a great showdown for sure! >>>>>>>>30A

imagine that, an aggie gets an idea over at Texags. Isn’t that the website where the cult goes to learn the group think?

After all the chest bumps and bragging is over………. You’ve only beaten LSU twice in the past ten years.

poor aggies

4th and 25. Pretty easy choice. Takes us to Atlanta.

Not exactly. We’d still have to beat Mississippi State the following week. Which we did, but if it were to win the west outright do we still beat state that week or do we choke? We’ll never know

So with that said my choice would be 2003 LSU since that game was indeed for the west title.

USC's tough loss in Baton Rouge carried over the next week in the Swamp - resulting in the only 2 setbacks of Carolina's 2012 season.

If SC wins either of those games, it wins the east and goes to the SEC Championship game. With the weapons on SC's 2012 team (particularly the defense), it was built to beat Bama. That would have given SC a shot at their first Natty.

Also, I think it would have changed the trajectory of Spurrier's "retirement" and SC football. Do the Muschamp years happen then?

1998 SEC Championship Game against Tennessee ... we took the lead with 8 minutes left and watched it slip away on a 50 yard bomb with 2 minutes to go

2017 natty

Honorable mention to the 2012 SECCG. Georgia is two plays away from having three titles in the last decade. I’d wager that’s the first time in the history of college football that’s happened to a team.

My picks exactly.

Saying it once is probably enough...hence the edit.

You guys had some really, really good teams in that time frame.

Hot take: Florida 2015

Will Grier pops hot but gets another week to retest before getting suspended. The swamp isn’t as crazy and we win so the Arkansas loss wouldn’t have mattered.

2008 Ole Miss for Florida.

Probably in consideration for one of the better teams of all time if we won that game.

i mean an entire extra game would still have needed to be played.
which i would wager would have taken more than a couple of plays to complete.

what hasn't?
winning 3 in a decade?
almost winning 3 in a decade?

Don’t have to flip a loss

I would just flip the blown out knee on Chuma Okeke in the UNC game.

If he is healthy, Auburn has a basketball natty.

I do think it's unlikely that changes the Malzahn trajectory, which raises the question of whether there was a loss that would be more impactful for our current plight.

I guess the 2017 SECCG is up there, but we were spent so I don't think we had anything for the CFP.

1963 - 20-19 loss to Alabama cost us a share of the SEC Championship with all teams (Ole Miss). OM chose to kick a FG in the closing seconds to tie us 10-10 in the State-Ole Miss game (Egg Bowl moniker was not established until 1979).

Had we beat Bama, State and Ole Miss would have each been tied 5-0 records with the ties and thus co-champions.

2007 loss to ou, or 2014 loss to auburn. Both would have put us in NC game.
