Your team had since the turn for the century, which game would you pick?
I got this idea over at TexAgs where they all agreed LSU in 2012. Win that game and we’re in the natty. I’d also say LSU this last year. It’s been a great showdown for sure!
The 1 rule: it has to be within one score, no more than 8 points out of reach.

Honorable mention to the 2012 SECCG. Georgia is two plays away from having three titles in the last decade. I’d wager that’s the first time in the history of college football that’s happened to a team.

2013 Iron Bowl. Bama had 3 chances to put that game away. One first down that was called back for a holding call that would have run the clock out, a missed FG and later the kick 6.
Bama wins that game and they 3 peat. FSU had ZERO SHOT against Bama's D in the BCSNCG.

Probably 2016 Clemson, frick losing that game it still burns. Mainly because that defense deserved to go down as an absolute GOAT but that game puts a blemish on them, undeservedly so.

2006 Auburn, 2012 Bama, and 2013 UGA come to mind immediately. Both amazing games. Win any of those 3 and we have a shot to win a natty.

USC's tough loss in Baton Rouge carried over the next week in the Swamp - resulting in the only 2 setbacks of Carolina's 2012 season. it's quite likely a Gamecock win in Baton Rouge would've also carried over to the Swamp in much the same way.
Spurrier 12-0 at South Carolina would've made for some great HBC quotes.

11/18/2011…2ot loss at Iowa State…cost OSU a chance to play in the BCS Championship Game. Still pisses me off.
