If it wasn’t for the Volunteers, it would be the University of Mexico and Mexico A&M.

I think you meant if it weren't for the Gamecocks ... or maybe you're not familiar with all the South Carolinians to rush out there and fight for Texas' independence ..... you know, The Travis Letter ... you know he was a South Carolinian, right?

PS ETA: We're gearin' up to go again if Abbott calls on us to come help defend that fence against the feds.

As Texans, we are forever grateful for the brave men from Tennessee, Alabama, Louisiana and the other states and nations that came and fought and died for our independence from Mexico. The flags from all those states who sent Volunteers have places of honor and respect within the walls of the Alamo church. Our cities, counties, roadways, and some colleges are named after them. We will always revere them.

There is some truth to your statement, which makes it all the more disrespectful that UTk lost right to their beloved acronym, to the real UT.

Thanks for including this part because roughly one third of the Alamo defenders were from Yankee states and foreign countries. They never get mentioned. But they were there and fought and died with all the folks from southern states and the group of Tejanos that were there.

Texas is the best state in America. What state do you want to put up against it? Let's go.

And they say we’re all hat and no cattle. Alabama has some good beaches, red dirt and a beautiful upstate. Don’t go all little brother on us.

Importance to the nation, manufacturing base, energy production. The fact that Texas would whip every other state's arse in a war.

California has a case on importance to the nation and manufacturing base. But their politics and taxes takes them out of the running, in my opinion.

As a Tennessee fan/resident/alum, this is all you have. The justification for your entire existence is the great state of Texas. I hope it comforts you.

Bruh. Do you know how many nuclear missile silos there are in North Dakota?

Them polite ol' wood-chipperin' pregnant sherriff havin' upper midwesteners could turn half the planet to glass without getting up from their peanuckle game, dontcha know.

As Texans, we are forever grateful..............

OK. I likr your style, but the rant is for... antagonizers.

So FUK UTx. or UT. Tennessee will get all angry just by your initials....and they say Volunteer.
