Wing-Ears masterfully inviting gumps to self-melt with ease.

We've laughed at Texas for 13 years about, "If Colt was healthy!" I don't want to hear excuses about our injuries. Georgia won the National Championship.

Listening to the Finebaum show today Finebaum made it sound like Georgia is the greatest team ever and Alabama is steps behind them.. What if Alabama went into the National Championship healthy like they did in the SEC championship and beat Georgia again.. Could you imagine Georgia fans after taking yet another loss to Alabama and Nick Saban? I am not one to make excuses, but it is fun to think about. Georgia deserves it, what Kirby has built in Athens has everyone in Tuscaloosa nervous.
Another thread about Alabama injuries without recognizing all of the Georgia players that missed both games.
Just what we need.
Alabama fans need to stop listening to Finebaum and enjoy the unprecedented run they have been on.

I get it. It's frustrating to think about "What might have been." We all do it. But yes. You are correct. Sometimes it is best to just move on and look forward to the next opportunity. Alabama has another great team with yet another opportunity to win another title, and many are still fixated on last season.

I think UGA had coverage issues and couldn't handle Williams. Certainly couldn't handle both Metchie and Williams. So yes, I think Bama wins had they not gotten injured. I think the game would then be very similar to the one in Atlanta. As for Finebaum, let him peddle his rat poison on UGA.
What's funny is Bama isn't even making the right excuses for losing the NC game.
UGA's problem in the SECCG was less about covering WR's and more about turning the ball over. UGA lost the turnover margin 0-2 in the SECCG. UGA had a pick inside the red zone and a pick 6 in the SECCG. That led to a 10-14 point swing in Bama's favor in a game Bama won by 17. UGA ended up having to try for TD's rather than running a balanced offense to come back after that due to the deficit ballooning from those mistakes.
The excuses you should be making are for your DB injuries, not the WR ones. But you don't even realize what won the SECCG for you.
The offense helped, but the defense won it. IF the defense didn't make plays/ Bennett didn't make mistakes in the SECCG, UGA would likely have been in it late with a chance to win... a close game.
that's not what happened though. Bennett did throw those turnovers which put the game out of reach.

Finebaum is a personality that says shite to make the peasants clap their hands at the tv screen. You fell for it.

Let's set the injury talk aside for a second. Is there anyone that can make a case for Georgia in the playoffs at all had Okie State made one more yard and scored to win their conference? Especially after what happened in Atlanta?
Georgia fans like to talk loud and say they were in but...you were not.
All the other contenders had equal or better records. They were all conference champions, UGA was not.
They all had better wins than Georgia did. There really would not have been a justification at that point for Georgia to have been anywhere but Bourbon Street. They caught a break, the first of many.

If your Mom hadn't done drugs, maybe you wouldn't end up like this... but pointless since she obviously did.

awww hell no! That logic could be said for a different team every year.

When's the last time Arky did enough to be part of a conversation like this? You really should STFU and let the adults talk.

Bama would have stomped UGA and Kirby would have developed a stutter and smoking habit. I could also see him getting a perm to shake things up and appeal to recruits better.

I wish we could move on from that game. We lost..they won..we need to figure out how to beat them this year!
Couldn't agree more!
Bama fans please stop!! We don't like it when over fanbases make excuses when we beat them, remember Texas and Colt McCoy? We all know the ones that complain about the refs in every single game we win, even if we have more penalties for more yards.
Like Rolltide10 said, we lost, let's win this year! RTR
