UGA had no answer for Williams for 5 quarters,

This is how bama O scored in his 5 q’s:

1: 0
2: 24
3: 7
4: 3
4: 3

An obvious outlier, which was the biggest fluke q in all of 2021, and then 13 in 4 q’s despite not being able to handle him.

I believe that was the only quarter all season UGA's defense gave up more than 10 points. They did give up more than that in another quarter when you include pick-6's, but not the defense itself.

33-18. That's why it is in Athens. DWI.

The discussion is why Georgia had 33 and Bama had 18.

Because we we were the better team.

It wasn't hard for us with "a number of our best players out" of the game. Injuries or not the players did not play for various reasons.

8 months later and you are still crying. You must hydrate well to be able to make all those tears.

Hard to say. NFL teams get blown out and then beat the same teams down the road. If you actually watch the game and are able to read the defense, UGA player extremely soft zone and didn’t blitz a lot the first game. A very bad game plan.

In the second game in Indianapolis, they played Bama how Auburn played Bama and brought constant pressure. Now, it’s all hypothetical bc the receivers were out. But far too many college football fans still believe in transitive property. The game isn’t played in a telephone booth. There are different outcomes in different games.

Agreed.

Here's the only stat you need to know about how differently UGA played Bama from the first game to the second: Time to Throw

Young's average TTT on the season: 2.79 seconds
Young's average TTT in the SEC Champ: 2.62 seconds
Young's average TTT in the National Champ: 2.29 seconds

This is what Bama fans need to realize. UGA had a fluke quarter compared to the rest of their season. A single quarter is responsible for all of the "UGA can't hang with a healthy Bama".

This is also good to point out when they say, "we were winning in the 4th quarter even without our all-world WRs". We had a really, really good quarter of football that resulted in a more lopsided score than the rest of the game suggested, same as the SECCG, outside of the one quarter of dominance by Alabama.

The big takeaway is this: Alabama and Georgia had very similar teams in terms of players and coaching. Both teams had injuries and absences that needed to be filled, and both teams had a single dominant quarter between the two games that made the difference in the outcomes. One happened in the SECCG and the other in the NCG. That's football. Each game is different.

Alabama wasn't obviously superior to Georgia last season, especially when you take into account how both teams played their common opponents. Alabama played their best game in the SECCG while Georgia played it's worst. Both teams played well in the NGC, and the better team (that day) won.

Agree with everything you just posted Foo..the better team won (on each day) and Georgia was the better team the day the Natty was played..nothing else about that game matters. The Dawgs are defending national champs and look very much like they may repeat. The 2021 season is over and hopefully Bama will get another chance in 2022..
