re: If a team can’t win its own conference it shouldn’t be in the playoff!

When we went to the playoff system (BCS) your argument went out the window. That stuff you're selling is so much about the bowl era. Now college football is interested in only one conclusion.
So these “playoff” titles are not worth as much as BCS titles? Interesting.
And no, it’s not about getting the 4 BEST teams (a highly subjective venture with no standards) it’s about sell to extra games in the semifinals. Generally there has been much of argument for 2 of the 4 teams and we have yet to see watchable playoff games in a row. 1 usually 2 are just duds. I wouldn’t be shocked if all 3 this year are 1 sided duds.

Yes. Championships are by definition intended to be exclusive with standards. It adds meaning to the accomplishment.
bullshite!
You're not seeing the forest for the trees!
I'll ask you too, when, during the playoff system's existence, did a team win that most people thought was NOT the best team?

AT LEast two sides to everything.....one side CC is a qualifier using the play in concept.....another side is 4 best regardless of anything else.....
Problem is committee just looks for team that are either 0 loss or 1loss since they can NOT evaluate teams......the criteria should be 1 High level Offense, 2 decent or better defense, 3 demonstrated ability to overcome being behind in game, 4 record......

REALLY?
So you're saying that the score MUST be close for it to be legitimate? You need to shed all that bias you've got, so you can think clearly.

Oh, and goal currently is about getting eyes on games
It is? Why choose Cincinnati then?
Why choose 3 regional teams in
the '17 season?

So have the committee that awards the championship select 64 teams and make a format to control scheduling while allowing an actual championship
So you actually wanna give control of a teams schedule to
a playoff committee?
Do you have any idea how remotely impossible this is?

No Einstein, the end result is the same. You didn't have to be a conference champion to get into either formate.

4 seeds have destroyed 1 seeds. A 3 seed blew out a 2 seed last Friday. Blowouts are where you find them.
BAMA blew out our semi-game last season in the playoff and blew out Ohio State in the finals.
You can't legislate blowouts in the college football playoff.

Picking the 4 best teams (and that's what the NCAA claims the mission to be) it's not rocket science, and AGAIN, name a playoff winner that most people said was the wrong one!

He’s one of the people still hung up on it’s the “teams most deserving”. Some folks just can’t get process that important fact.

What inanity are you babbling about?
You psychopaths trying to blame the OSU girl’s basketball coaches dying in a plane crash as the reason Oklahoma State players were distracted & lost to ISU, thus still deserving to play in the National Championship over Bama. This, despite OSU holding a 24-7 lead over ISU in the 3rd quarter.

Ucf will always be thought of as losers...

I can't decide if SadUCFKnight is the greatest troll on the Rant or is actually in a state of mental distress.

Your LSU obsession knows no bounds. It's really amazing (and scary). Ten years later, you bring up some idiot rambling about a plane crash out of the blue. How do you function having LSU on your brain 24/7.

Those things usually go hand in hand naturally for trolls. I know it applies to me at times.

This entire thread devolved into a conversation about LSU fans bitching in 2011 - thanks to one of your fellow LSU fans. Since you’ve been here since 2009, you know I didn’t bring up some random idiot rambling. There were entire articles written about it. It was one of the many battlecries of entire segments of your fanbase (and OSU’s).
You come across as really, really angry every time you address me. I would suggest sipping a nice cup of calm down and shut the frick up before you decide to respond to me again.
Do you understand, LSUPeePaw?

Sonic is perfect. They have plenty of soft serve for the geriatrics.

Angry?? Over you?? Very doubtful. I just pointed out the obvious obsession you have with all things LSU. I actually think you should give yourself a seventh self-awarded SEC Rant poster award for being the most obsessed fan on here. Take a negative and make it a positive. And don't be mad at me because I exposed your silly "You Can't Do That - Clap, Clap, Clap" troll thread where you completely misinterpreted the relevant rules and what happened in the Tennessee-Purdue game. I actually give you credit for admitting you were wrong in the thread. That took a lot of guts.

Because the “it’s not fair G5 teams get left out drama” made for a great story line this year that had to culminate in a G5 team getting in. And they predictably got blown out.

To a body with oversight of the D1A 64 teams. No more ad hoc do the best you can to win 6 games off 3-4 paycheck wins.
64 teams, 4 conferences of 16. Use pods if you like. Get a regular season that matters a bit. Use Bowls as neutral cite division title games, better bowls as conference title games and you now have 4 Olaf teams as division, conference winners.
As a benefit the D1A oversight committee supersedes the NCAA as the governing body, sets schedules, and crowns a championship with a huge TV deal and standards on allocations of TV money to maintain league standards
