This is absolutely true. I mean look at how easily Michigan handled the pretenders from Georgia and showed the superiority of Conference Champions.

Goal is to get the four best teams in the playoffs, not the top 1 and 3 turds cause they play in easy conferences. Don’t think there is any debate who the top 2 teams are this year. Could make a case for #3 and 4 tho

The reason it’s so hard to find 4 quality teams to put in is because of recruiting. Alabama and UGA have recruited so well that even when guys go pro as juniors they can replace the holes. These other schools lose a junior to the NFL and they have no other big stars to fill in.
