This kids is what a mentally deranged individual looks like. I don’t like any team in this league but none of them trigger me to the level that LSU triggers you. It’s sad . I really hope that you are still maturing and this isn’t the finished product

This is so stupid. You’re telling me it’s impossible, that when picking the 4 best teams, they couldn’t coincidentally be in the same conference. Idiot.

Yes you did, and then you decided to leave the conference less than 4 years later because it sucks. So ultimately your school doesn't think very highly of the AAC either.

LUDICROUS!

1) What is the goal of the playoffs?
A) To establish who is the best football team in
the country.

2) How do you go about doing that?
A) You select the best FOUR teams to play in the
playoffs

3) What's next?
A) The #1 selected team pays the #4, and #2
plays #3, THEN the 2 winners play each other for
the Championship!

Now what about that is so hard to understand?...is it because the #1, #2, or #3, or even #4 teams could come from the same conference?.....and if so,.....WTF???

The reason it’s so hard to find 4 quality teams to put in is because of recruiting.

Obviously this means expanding to a 16 team playoff will make it better

Goal is to get the four best teams in the playoffs, not the top 1 and 3 turds cause they play in easy conferences.

So have the committee that awards the championship select 64 teams and make a format to control scheduling while allowing an actual championship. A team that won it division, conference, and a national championship.

Otherwise we are just giving away a title that’s not truly earned.

Oh, and goal currently is about getting eyes on games, not finding the best teams. A G5 program should never sniff a playoff spot, they do not play the same level. Asking them to beat 2 good P5 schools back to back is beyond them.

Don’t forget something about the Oklahoma State girls’ basketball team causing a distraction for the second half only.

But how do you not make the playoffs and claim a title? Aren't the playoffs the way we decide titles?

I'll never understand why people think an arbitrary group of teams playing each other is somehow a factor in deciding the 4 best teams in the country.

As if it's impossible that 2 of the best 2 teams happen to be in the same conference.

Play a P5 team with a pulse during the regular season and you greatly increase your chances of making the playoff.

Clear your mind for a moment and think about this:
WHAT IF:
Alabama and Tennessee are in the same division of the same conference (say both are East Div. of SEC), and they play each other in the 2nd game of the year, AND Alabama wins 14-13.
Now Alabama finishes out the year undefeated, and Tennessee gets their star QB who missed the Bama game back, and they finish the year undefeated except for the Bama loss (11-1).
Now since they've gotten their QB back, and their Oline and secondary have really jelled, Tennessee has curb stomped everybody else on their schedule while Bama has had some really close games with the same conference teams that the Vols have killed.
NOW Tennessee doesn't win their division (East), therefore they can't play in the SEC championship game, AND therefore don't qualify for the playoffs!
So y'all thinks that's the right way to determine the BEST team in the country...at the end of the year???

Frankly, none of this is ever about truly finding the "Best" team in the country. It is about entertainment and the huge $$$ that can be derived from it.

Case in point, college basketball's crowning of a champion is never about finding the "best" team in the country. It is solely about how much money can be generated over roughly a two week period with a team crowned as champion that can get hot within that duration.

I don't give a shite who is possibly the best team, I would just like something that is more entertaining than what we have now. Frankly, that is what was cool about the old bowl system...there was still a debate after the "champion" was crowned.

Yes. Championships are by definition intended to be exclusive with standards. It adds meaning to the accomplishment.

When Bama was eliminated by LSU from the SEC West and the committee just put Bama is? That was a travesty. The fact Bama won a title* that year doesn’t change that. When UGA lost an elimination with Bama and both are in the finals? It cheapens the season

Have the NCAA or bowl championship committee pick a true Division 1A group of 64 teams and set up a bracket style

4 conference winners are in the playoffs. That is the standard. The committee sets everyone’s schedule and you can only play D1A teams.

When we went to the playoff system (BCS) your argument went out the window. That stuff you're selling is so much about the bowl era. Now college football is interested in only one conclusion.

The 4 BEST teams. So far, so good.

Read the NCAA mission for the College Football Playoff System!
Now you can do all that shucking and jiving that you sore losers always do, but it doesn't change the fact that the intent is to find the best team!..........And while we're at it, what year during the playoff system's existence did the team that actually won it, was not the best team in nearly everybody's opinion?..I'll be waiting for your answer.
