Who fricking cares
This man gave a moving speech that shined a bright light to an impoverished area and all you people care about is that he didn't thank god.
Who fricking cares? Maybe he doesn't believe in god or maybe he does? I'm able to appreciate people regardless of their beliefs. You'd think someone so worked up about the mention of god could be able to do that as well.

I’m a believer (a bad one) but honestly I cringe when players throw the “thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” into post-game interviews and any other chance they get. Comes off as smarmy and proselytizing. Didn’t like it with Tebow or even Tua. I understand it’s a huge platform to share your faith and I admire the young men, but you’re going to reach more people one on one.
I like that Saban practices his faith without preaching, just builds houses and helps needy kids. Guess it’s a Catholic vs. evangelical thing.
Actions speak louder than words and Joe's actions spoke loud and clear when he challenged people to GIVE to the less fortunate.

God doesn't exist.
Merry Christmas!

So, God loves the athletically gifted?...Gave them something he didn't bestow on the rest of us mere mortals? I am not so gifted..... So, Religious folks...did God forget me? I am spiritual, not religious and think God doesn't give a shite about football, athleticism or your "gifts". He has more important things on his plate. Pretty myopic, Narcissistic view if you ask me.
Glad Joe left God out of his speech and put in hungry people. Much better use of his time in the spotlight.

Joe Burrow made his football success happen.
yes, and a nice guy too it seems

It took years of hard work, coaching, and dedication to get as good as he is. He, his coaches and family are responsible for his success.
Well, along with innate natural ability that few probably possess. Could be random, could be God. Regardless, it's silly to pretend this is entirely a hard work thing.

If one must give credit to god, then why don’t you see people crying and cussing god after tragedies like the multiple mass shootings in the last few years?
You do

Religion needs to stay where it belongs, in church.
Religion is a pillar of public life and absolutely should not be confined to church (nor has it been for most of modernity).

Well obviously people noticed and called attention to it so it must matter to some. My personal opinion is that he did it intentionally and has his reasons. Now what that reason is, we can only speculate and what better place to do that than on a message board.
Joe gave a great speech that was much more focused on helping people (just like Jesus did) than throwing out a thank you to God and leaving the building.
He put his words into action on that stage and people everywhere NOTICED and they took action to help the less fortunate. For Joe Burrow's action, I was motivated to get up off my arse, leave the office and go help my own local food bank today.
Thanks Joe and God bless you young man.

I think I heard Saban somewhere in the speech. . .that's the same thing to you.

Didn't watch the presentation live but I did watch a replay and just wanted to say that Joe Burrow is a "Full Grown Man".
LSU fans you are blessed to have him represent your team and University.
This Arkansas fan and Louisiana native will be pulling for him on Sunday's for years to come.

The only people whining about it have an agenda to do it. Maybe they’re melting pos gumps. Maybe they’re morons who think Christians are oppressed in this country.
Maybe they should remember what the god they’re up in arms over had to say about fasting and giving alms in private instead of making it a spectacle.
