I made that argument earlier and was told that never happens but we’ve seen bars be held liable for the actions of drunks previously and we have to remember this is on college campuses and I don’t care which college campus they are still more liberal. I get NFL franchises aren’t held liable for alcohol related accidents but a college campus is a completely different setting. I am not against the consumption of alcohol at a reasonable consumption rate, I’m just not sure it’s reasonable to have it in every setting. JMO.

NFL teams do not own the stadium, a somewhat large distinction.

You frickers cannot have beer in the stadium until I can have sushi and a line of coke.

Wasn’t us.
We’re home to the bar that serves more beer per square foot than any bar in the U.S.
We handle our hooch and/or thump our lightweights on the side of the head and escort ‘em out of Dodge.

Texas is going to start selling beer at its football games this fall. The news was broken yesterday. Most connected to the Longhorns’ program seem to approve of it.

Don’t expect Texas A&M to follow in its rival school’s path, though.

Aggies’ chancellor John Sharp was asked today about the prospect of selling alcohol at Texas A&M games. His response is a perfect jab at the Longhorns.

A&M chancellor Sharp on alcohol at events: “Our athletic program has not reached the point where we require the numbing effects of alcohol.” — Gabe Bock (@GabeBock) June 18, 2015

He can speak for himself.
I was envious as heck when UTex changed their alcohol policy.
It’s past time for us to do the same.

When Sharp said that, there were howls of "good bull" from once-pious aggys everywhere, many of whom espoused their moral superiority for not requiring alcohol at athletics events.

My, how things change. Aggys are like Democrats and Trump; the Presdent could propose ending world hunger and the other side would dig in on mass starvation (just 'cuz).

Oh, we have our element that likely agreed with him; I’d never deny that.
But most didn’t.
You’ll have to trust me on that.
You don’t have to; that’s your lane.

As for the Dems vs Republicans comparison ... consider us Texas Nationalists.

Flasks have been brought into football stadiums since the beginning of time. Are those "we don't want no alkeyhol" rednecks that clueless?

Mississippi State is in Oktibehha county. Alcohol is still illegal there. The city of Starkville does allow it but Mississippi State is not inside the city limits.

You heathens proudly drink at church, but then shy away from the dark arts that come with Catholicism. We don’t need that at MSU.

I don’t understand why people are acting so excited about having $5 Bud Light available at the games.

This tells me you haven’t been to any major conference or
professional sporting event in the last 25 years if you think that a beer can be bought for 5 bucks

While I agree with your point, you should be able to relax with a beer at any sporting event.

Would that include high school games?

Yet, give them another year or two.
