I still can’t believe LSU admin let Kiffin push this to the limit…

I mean I get letting the guy get what he wants from time to time but this wasn’t worth it.
Understandably the rest of the SEC Presidents are pissed.

True but damn if I don't wish it was just about football.

Ole Miss fans are really showing themselves to be ignorant people.

Push what to the limit? Him making a joke to Holly Rowe at halftime? Was it really that serious of a deal that everyone’s feelings were hurt? Kiffin always maintained that LSU would comply with the SEC and they did. He didn’t play them or roster them.

Still can’t believe Ole Miss hired Pete Golding lol

Even if everything the SEC alleges against Lane and the LSU administration is true, I still can’t see, nor support, expelling LSU from the conference.
Make them fire everyone involved? Sure
Levy sanctions against their athletic program? Ok
But to literally kick them out of the conference? That’s fricking crazy
LSU was an integral part of the SEC long before any of the people involved were even born. So punish those guilty. That’s fine. But don’t tear the conference apart in doing so.

I can’t help but think that there is a lot more to this than what the public knows, the reaction by the SEC doesn’t fit what Kiffin tried to do…..at all

Ole Miss slandered former coaches to try and save prime Hugh Freeze. You won’t see LSU cutting any settlement checks once all of this is final.

If this is true...
then in order to do this...
that means they have to fire Kiffin, the AD, and probably the university president, because at the heart of the SEC's allegations would be a lack of institutional control over Kiffin. So you have to fire the two administrators ultimately responsible for his supervision.
Would LSU do that if they are staring down the barrel?

The notion that the SEC has some smoking gun they are saving for later is hilarious to me.
They laid out their entire case, for everyone to see, in a lawsuit. It’s all based on media reports and rumors. Every single bullet point.
If they have anything definitive on Kiffin, you can be sure it will embroil the rest of the SEC in some way.

If 15 university presidents agree to do that, I don't see how that is "tearing the conference apart". "Tearing the conference apart" would involve a major rift between two factions.

I can get behind this. If you also go after everyone else with the same lack of institutional control.

Dude the President/Board of Supervisors/AD/Coach are all named in the suit and aren't going to fire themselves.
If it comes to that LSU would just leave.

So you don’t understand how LSU allowed him to not break any rules? Allowed him to make 15 schools and a cuck for a commissioner uncomfortable by not setting the full roster for an extra week? Can’t help if the other SEC presidents are a bunch of snowflakes.
None of this came about when Alabama actually played a former professional basketball player. Actually played in games. LSU is being threatened to be kicked out cause of two players that never played in a game. If you can’t see the problem with that narrative as a member of the SEC, then you are the type of person who doesn’t fight for your own rights in life and lets everyone do it for you.
Don’t go talking all high and mighty when you ignore the wrong that has happened in the past. To which a blind eye was turned to and now you want to jump on board with this one cause others got loud and you can hide in the crowd. To be honest the ones who are the loudest are the ones acting like a woman scorned cause it involves her ex boyfriend she still misses.
This will be an embarrassment for the SEC in the way it was handled. That’s the reality in the end.

Kiffin knew from the beginning that there were SEC rules in place such as the intraconference transfer rules that he was thumbing his nose at. Time for daddy to lay the belt on his arse.
This all likely started when Kiffin started calling other member institutions racist. My guess is that didn't go over well with the commish. Once you do stupid shite like that, you should probably make sure to keep it between the lines, but Kiffin can't help himself. He is always on perpetual cycle of self destruction.
