I mean I get letting the guy get what he wants from time to time but this wasn’t worth it.

Understandably the rest of the SEC Presidents are pissed.
Do you understand why the rest of the SEC was howling about fake injuries when he was your coach? Was it worth it to have Kiffin as your coach when the entire CFB community was calling for his blood for obviously exploiting the rulebook?

This is Lane. He's Belichick 2.0 when it comes to pushing the rules to the very limit for every advantage possible. He won't break the rules but he'll see how far they bend before crossing the line. He did it at OM, he's doing it at LSU. Heck, he probably did it (or at least condoned it) at Bama when players were getting Chargers like they were 10 cent Snickers bars.

OM fans can't see past the Grove on this. I get it. But let's not pretend that every OM fan wasn't thrilled to see Lane do the exact same thing when he was there.

And, oh, BTW: "faking" injuries wasn't against the rules when he did it at OM. It sure pushed the boundaries, was borderline unethical from a sportsmanship perspective and eventually the rulemaking folks had to address it. But up to that point he was doing everything possible to win and it was A-OK with you guys when he lived in Oxford.

And, hey, maybe your new coach learned a thing or two from him. After all, rostering Chambliss for a sixth year after he was denied by the NCAA didn't break the rules either - because of the TRO from your friendly neighborhood OM alum judge. It sure pushed the boundaries, was borderline unethical from a sportsmanship perspective and will probably be dealt with by the rulemaking folks.

So, please spare me the crocodile tears and enjoy the season.

You won’t see LSU cutting any settlement checks once all of this is final.

They are cutting checks now. They left two players hanging after they won their decision. The University filled the roster much in the same manner that a family hides the bottle from an alcoholic father and husband. And Thursday they will bend the knee to whatever the other 15 Presidents and Commish have to threaten them with.

And LSU won't be abstaining, just explaining.

His tenure has shocked me. Not what is happening but the speed with which it has happened. I thought Kiffin would get in at least a couple of seasons before he burned everything down. Instead he lit the fire before the first game. Wade did the same thing even quicker, setting the other side of the building on fire. And LSU fans have indicated they are perfectly fine with it. Heck, they support burning it all down if they can’t get their way.

It’s all based on media reports and rumors. Every single bullet point.

Just this - they do not have any proof at all, and if they did others would be involved. You don't think Sark talked to Cole Hutson?

The notion that the SEC has some smoking gun they are saving for later is hilarious to me.

And yet, what other explanation is there for this display of sanctimonious discipline?

It can’t be Sankey vs Kiffin. This action involves university administrators, and they seem to be at the forefront of this circus.

So, what has LSU done to deserve the attention of all the universities? I realize all the universities voted to exclude NFL (and WNBA/NBA) players but LSU hasn’t added any to my knowledge.

Also, there’s been a vague charge of “lack of institutional control” which purports that politicians have too much control. However, that could be said of many public universities.

Help me out. I just don’t get it. There has to be something else behind all this expulsion talk.

Yet Ole Piss is so butthurt about him leaving they cant stop hating him.

He saw a way to get away from Backwater USA and took it.

May do the same from LSU but right now he is our coach and i support him forcing the SEC to have 1 rule for all teams.

Not pick and choose who gets to have unlawful players and who doesnt.

The SEC Office is now and has been a joke ever since Sankey took office. He is just the Mouthpiece of the hidden figures who think they can decide for everyone.

Finebaum is also one of the Puppets used to spread disinformation. That is why the gumps love him so much.

Imagine if Bama or Ole Miss were in this position instead of LSU- them coonass’s would be leading the lynch mob, louder than anyone, consumed with indignant outrage.

Lane followed the court's order.
Legal justice is above a self-governing conference.

Why????????? What in the world does this have to do with them? SEC school presidents couldn't care less about two players at some other school.

These two players were getting screwed. Kiffin thought it was wrong and supported them. How are SEC university presidents so offended by this?

It's all BS and you know it.

Dude the President/Board of Supervisors/AD/Coach are all named in the suit and aren't going to fire themselves. If it comes to that LSU would just leave.

Yeah. I’m just looking for a solution to all this that doesn’t involve losing founding member of the conference.
