Say what you will about Lane, but the man can coach. And seeing what he has accomplished at Mississippi during his tenure, he can build a strong program.
I think he is going to get LSU back in a strong position over the next couple of years.

Keeping baker will be huge for them. They’ll be a problem next year for sure if they keep him.

Unless a head coaching job comes open or one of the current openings call I don’t see him leaving. He’s pretty locked in with Louisiana ties.

Agreed. If we had Lanes offense this year to go with Bakers defense we’d be making a run at it. I’m still baffled at how Kelly managed to whiff so hard on offense this year. What a waste

That was a pretty big deal. People don't put enough emphasis on coordinators.
Baker is a gambler with all of his exotic blitz packages coming from anywhere on the field. That approach is going to get burned from time to time. It was a problem this year when the O was struggling to crack 17 but he and Kiffin should be a nice fit.
