This will be overtaken by advertisements and such... As it is, the ads are creatively plastered everywhere and are as close to the field/court as possible. Now there will be no escape! You will see what they want you to see and you will like it.

I would love to think this would be whole hearted and fun. I mean, the idea and technology is great! ...If they can leave it at team/school logos and things that relate to the team/school. However, I have no faith that the first time a company comes and says, I'll donate $1million to your collective if you put my restaurant logo on the floor during timeouts, the team/school won't bite.

It's interesting how fans often demand NIL, facility enhancements, coaching raises, etc. but never stop to think where that money comes from. If you don't want to revenue generating ads everywhere you can do two things: 1. Don't expect a winning program or 2. write a big ole check to replace the ad revenue so you don't have to see them. As most know, most fans just complain and moan and don't do anything to help the revenue side of the programs.

Kentucky had this last year for midnight madness, but having it during a game seems like a bad idea

That is bad arse. I wonder if the operating system can capture video replay and play it on the floor in real time. Like a huge monitor. Seems like it could

Very cool idea. Seems like they could do a lot more with this than changing out logos in the future.

It's pretty interesting technology, you can change logos (maybe make it Lady Tigers in a WBB game) game markings, meaning volleyball lines with no basketball for a volleyball tourney. You could do tennis court markings for example or just about anything you can do on any other LED board. Player intro's with pics/bios on the floor, etc. Its pretty limitless what you can do with this technology.
