But why would you leave the Dallas Metroplex for buttfrick Mississippi?
Theres so much more to do in Dallas/Ft Worth. Probably get a lakehouse to chill in the off season like at Possum Kingdom for example.
Unless TCU wanted him to go then perfectly understandable.

No coaching change of this magnitude has happened in college baseball. TCU has recently made improvements to their facility (still doesn't compare to most of the top of the SEC) and has supported Schnloss. With the built in advantages of being a private school and an easier path to conference titles and making regionals, I cannot see him leaving. The biggest factor here is the rumor is he makes 1.4 M. That is stupid money for college baseball. For comparison CPM makes 750 K with incentives for up to 1.2 M.

He did lose his AD to Texas, probably nervous having to compete with Texas who is trending back up.
Miss St will have a state of the art facility now but he could have been a lifer at TCU which is a lot easier conference to navigate than the SEC west.
I can't believe the money baseball coaches are making now. He was making good money at TCU and will get a raise at MSU.

If fear of competition if motivating this decision, then the SEC West is not the place to be. 6 out of 7 schools made the tourney.

Yeah, but it’s much shittier baseball than SEC. Also, his scholarship limitations is unreal. He’ll have free rein at State to get the players he wants and much easier than he would at TCU. When will this stigma that Starkville is a complete shithole end? While it’s not a great big city, it’s a well manicured, low crime, college town that eats, sleeps and breaths college baseball. A dream situation for a baseball guy.

I hate little brother, but they have great fan support and love for college baseball.
I live in DFW and I did not even know his name until the MSU rumors. If he takes MSU back to their recent glory years, he will be a legend of a State.
