I gotta feeling that when Alabama falls it is going to be brutal for them

Unless you grew up an Alabama fan the only reason the guys have been going there is Saban because he has become such a central figure in who they are. When they crash they are going to crash hard. The recruits are going to black ball that place. So to all you bama fans add 10-15 years to you age now and that is when you might be relevant again.

Lol. Outside of Bear and Saban, y’all have been an extremely pedestrian SEC program outside of 1991-1994. We have as many national championship winning coaches since 2000 as y’all do since 1958, and 2 of yours were the greatest of all time and the 2nd greatest of all time.

Some of y’all are crazy.
Much of the SEC thinks a 10 win season is awesome (and they should). Ray Perkins, Bill Curry, Mike Dubose, Dennis Franchione, Mike Shula..they all managed that. All but Fran managed a top 10 finish.

Not really. No. They have a pretty high floor in multiple sports. Shula's teams were never that bad. Never Tennessee in the wilderness bad. Even their basketball teams were never that bad at their worst. More often than not they hung out around average with a year or so at above-average mixed in.

I don’t think the point is to label the gumps as “sucking”
It’s more about bursting the gump’s bubble regarding their belief that their state or university is special
All that “mystique” will die again when Saban retires just like it did when Bear left. The players chose Bear and Saban…..not Alabama
