If you don't count Bryant and Saban's years for Alabama but let everyone else count their entire histories, Alabama would still be tied for fourth-most conference titles all-time with 8. But yeah, continue on with your ridiculous narrative. We aren't going to win six titles in ten years again but to imagine we are going to turn into Mississippi State East is pretty stupid.

When Bama starts going 5-7 every year, this guy is gonna snap. Just a matter of time.

No he's not. He'll do what most gumps do when the going gets tough: go back to being Tennessee / LSU / Georgia fans.

post saban era will be sketchy until somebody special comes along, it might take a very long time to find a person strong enough to cope with the demands of the job.

This was always kind of a given. Following a legend is always dicey. LSU was lucky that Saban was in his prime set up that program for success to continue after he left.

Bama has won an SEC title with Mike DuBose as the head coach and won 10 games during probation with Mike Shula. Going to be some lean and mediocre years, but not likely outright terrible. There’s too much invested in the program and institutional support to completely disintegrate.

Outside of Bear and Saban, y’all have been an extremely pedestrian SEC program outside of 1991-1994

That’s a lot of outside you mention to basically say Bama sucked for about 8-10 years

It’s more about bursting the gump’s bubble regarding their belief that their state or university is special

What does 'special' mean? They're the most successful football program in the SEC, who cares if it's the coaches or some inherent mystique? It's a stupid point. 'Sure you kicked our and everybody's arse for decades, but you're not special!!!!'

You under estimate the sabanization of a school. Look at what he did for lsu. The foundation was so strong les orgeron couldn't tear it down. Honestly yall are just now reverting back to 90s form and saban hasn't walked that sideline in a while
