Friday or Sunday are the only real options if you’re playing at ole miss. Tuscaloosa would be the other choice for Saturday

I cant see how much difference moving the game from 5 to 7:30 will make...that seems crazy to me
Allows the worst of it to pass. May still be rain, but avoids the bad wind.

Back in my day, this was called football weather.
This as long as there is no lightning.
Play the damn game as scheduled. Friday night weather isn't going to be much better. Why adjust the schedule of teams, TV crew, concessions, and fans.

Should also move Boogs game to God’s country but they skeered

BREAKING- @Lane_Kiffin said on @ESPNRadio this morning that the Alabama game will be moved to "7:30 or so" from 5 CT
I don't see how a meteorologist/NWS can predict with such accuracy on the storm being out of Oxford area at 7:30 but not at 5, 2-1/2 days in advance.

Moving it to 7:30pm CST on Sat seems really f*cking dumb to me

Moving to a 7:30Pm kickoff is due to ESPN having a open spot thanks to the LSU game moving to 11am, not really weather related. That decision was likely already made a couple of days ago in case the game isn't moved.

Excellent info, thanks!

This game will end up being cancelled and moved to a later date when they could have simply moved it to Tuscaloosa or played on Friday

Pac 12 is screwing us because ESPN doesn't have a random Pac 12 After Dark game to show in the late night slot.

6:30 kick is so dumb. Just move it to Friday

I agree. What happens if the storm passes through later than predicted on Sat. and the game ends up cancelled after all?

Just move the game to Friday night.

It's rain. Just play the freakin' game.

Is the heavy rain and wind on Friday night different than the heavy rain and wind on Saturday night

Yep. Truly bizarre (lack of) decision-making

If the center of whatever is left of Delta comes close to Oxford, winds of 40+ mph with even higher gusts are possible.

Not really sure how moving the game back 1 1/2 hours really does that much, but whatever.
