Stats are pretty good and plays for the school that is the best at developing qb talent. May not be the best, but if I were a sports writer, I would give him the benefit of the doubt too.

I mean it's kind of justified based on the track record. I don't think Rattler is as good as his predecessors, but he's going to put up numbers in that system just like every other QB that has ever played in it.

When it comes to playoff time, Oklahoma just isn't physical enough at the LOS. Indeed if they didn't have that waterbug Kyler Murray when Bama played them last, they might have lost by 50 because few others could have gotten away from the rush like him. They couldn't run in the game.
The UGA's lined up on them and ran it down their throats. Unless something drastic changes, Spencer Rattler will run into someone that overpowers them at the LOS and he'll be Spencer Gotsacked. It's the same thing year after year.

If you’ve watched him, the kid can actually sling it with relative ease. It’s really impressive. The only reason he wasn’t all big 12 last year was strictly political, as the conference really wanted to reward Purdy and Ehlinger. He was easily the best qb in that conference by seasons end.
And yes, you can’t overlook that he has Lincoln Riley in his corner. It is incredible what that guy can get out of his quarterbacks each year

His numbers were good for a first year Freshman starter (I'm not counting his season where he threw 7 passes to mean anything).
He's also at Oklahoma, and in the Big 12. He will generate absurd numbers regardless. Defense in the Big 12 is treated like leprosy.

I am disappoint that you didn't go with the obvious "Spencer Rattled."

but what has he accomplished that really deserves it?
Listening to podcast, I think most are enamored like Pro Scouts, they’ve seen a few throws he made that most others can’t. And think wow if he was in blah blah system he would be lights out.

Hmmm. Sounds kinda like what Tua did. Now look at him in the big leagues. Probably not even a top 30 QB in the NFL

Maybe not but damn that's a high standard. You're talking top 30 in the world.

I don't get the Spencer Rattler hype.
Had this convo with a friend the other day. Every highlight of his just shows a typical Oklahoma qb, with a ton of time in the pocket, never looked off his primary receiver. Media do this every year, Oklahoma will put up big stats and then get dog walked in the Semis. Rinse, repeat, same shite new season.
(*Plus this Rattler kid looks like he has the IQ slightly above a grilled cheese. Good Luck.)

Say what you want but 67% efficiency & 3000 yards passing as a redshirt freshman would make you a probable 2nd year starter at any fbs school. I’ll be very surprised if OU isn’t in the playoffs for the next two years with him as their QB.

Don't forget one other variable in that equation, Big 12 defense.

Naw dummy. He played against garbage defense in the SEC. same as the Big 12. How would you explain Tuas inability to be worth a damn in the NFL? As far as the top 30, he was gifted a starting position in the NFL. Definitely not earned.

Cool name, weak conference, potential for big numbers. NIL dream combo. Only missing cleavage for ultimate $s.

Lincoln Riley offense, they dont play a very tough schedule and the teams that they do play are in the big 12 so defense wasnt really their thing

That's the low IQ, Alabama obsessed LSU fan in you talking. Click the link, bro. They call Rattler the #1 player in CFB. Bryce Young is nowhere on that list.
