You can't make it clear because it doesn't make sense. If Texas beats Florida but then loses to Texas A&M, we're still not in the playoffs at 9-3.
One of the losses being Florida doesn't matter, it's the number of losses, and that's all the committee cares about, which is Sark's entire point.

I can’t believe somone actually wrote that. You are clueless if you think TX doesn’t get into the playoffs without playing Ohio State. They would have wins vs OU, Vandy and Aggy with losses at Georgia and at Florida. The head to head gives us the advantage over OU and Vandy - 2 other 2 loss teams.
Anyone who debates that doesn’t know college football.

Texas got taken to overtime last year by Kentucky and Mississppi State. They were damn lucky to win those games.

OU, like Arkansas, is a joke and a landing spot for DFW kids who can't get into any decent Texas schools.
We appreciate Texas A&M for what it is, an alternate state school that attracts the weirdos. Decent education - neither top tier nor a diploma mill - above schools like Texas State and Texas Tech, but obtainable for the kids who aren't top of their class.
As much as I despise them via the athletic rivalry, they are head and shoulders above the schools you f'n putzes support.
Outside of Vandy, Florida, and Georgia, the rest of the SEC is a f'n joke.

Texas was awful on the road last year and they play at Tennessee, LSU and A&M this year.

Good lord. We played ND. Either beat OSU or UF. Quit looking back wishing you didn't play the schedule you played.

I was at UT in the 80s to early 90s. IMO like many old UT grads, I think the much smaller Austin was way cooler then. I have lived outside of Texas for over 30 years now. To me, any city as large as the current Austin is way too much of a hassle…
